There's not a franchise in sports I hate more than the Philadlphia Flyers.
Not the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Not the New York Yankees.
Not the Dallas Cowboys or L.A. Lakers.
No, you’d have to have an Olympic Games flashback to 1936 and watch the pride of Hitler’s Germany marching into the Berlin stadium to match the feeling of revulsion I experience every time I see the Flyers play.
Especially against the Canadiens.
This guy has been a professional journalist for over 30 years.
Not sure how some of you see that. Are we really that bad?
EDIT: If you could change the title to "likens us to NAZIs" or something, it'd probably be for the best.
Seriously though, how is it that fans (and journalists I guess) of the team with the most history in the league have no sense of what hockey is about. I'm not talking about gooning it up, just hard hitting physical hockey. Is the fact that the Canadians are as soft as a roll of Sharman supposed to dictate that the rest of the league play that way too.
Ray Emery plays for the Flyers
Ray Emery used to play for Ottawa but left on bad terms
Dany Heatley used to play for Ottawa but left on bad terms
Dany Heatley was born in Germany
Nazis were from Germany
