the more Christensen gets to play the more I think he needs to be a part of the top 6 next season on this team. Same goes for Prospal.

See Chris, when you make a joke about playing for the Yankees, you gotta crack a big smile so that people know you're telling a joke,

Nice game by Potter, didn't stand out, which for him is good. Logged 15+ minutes of ice time.

As soon as he scored the penalty shot goal, I thought back to the game against St. Louis after we got him the first time and he scored a huge goal that essentially turned our season around. Then Lundqvist makes a huge save, and Prospal scores shortly after.

Avery, Lundqvist, Christensen, Prospal, Drury, Rozsival were all very good today.

I wouldn't worry too much. The schedule keeps getting harder and we all saw how horrible the Rangers played after the last olympics. What we should all be worried about is that most likely if this team limps into the 8th spot then Redden, Rozsival and Drury are all going to be here for another year at least. Theres no progression to be had there, just another year of this Jekyll and Hyde garbage.

Minnesota wins today and the Rangers move up a grand total of one spot from 7th last to 8th last. The prospect of getting Seguin was just a big ****tease anyway. I'd rather have all hopes of getting him crushed now than the last couple games of the season when a UFA to be like Jokinen decides hes going to score a hattrick in a meaningless game.

Get me Kabanov, get me Kovalchuk, get rid of the **** plaguing this squad and it'll be a good year.

Absolutely.

I don't get how these guys aren't ready to play in their own building all the time.

How is an empty net goal with an already two-goal lead clutch?
Drury has been playing much much better the last few games, but let's not be Sam Rosen-esque here. You can give him credit for being clutch when we he actually scores a game-tier or game-winner.

Unfortunately, Pittsburgh doesn't have access to 8 million yuppies to fill their arena. Most markets don't have demographics on their side.

My bad, I didn't think I needed to put a there.

But yes, I was being sarcastic.

Sidenote: I love the way Drury has been playing lately, just taking a shot at him for fun.
Sidenote 2: I didn't know "TANK TANK TANK" was a personal shot at anyone because that's not how it was meant. It was meant more of a shot at the strategy of tanking to build a hockey team when it's clear this team is capable of winning games.

I want the playoffs this year, sue me. LETS GO RANGERS

The Rangers played a very good game. Fortunately for them though is the fact that Henrik Lundqvist is a PART of "The Rangers." We did play well but Lundqvist still had to make some incredible saves at very very key times. Just think about how many deflections and chances from right in front Tampa had. I don't think they "sucked" by any means. They kind of imploded after our 2nd period explosion, but they still created enough chances throughout the game to score. Switch the goalies and we lose by about 5.

its ridiculous, your goal should be to make the playoffs every year, once you are in, anything can happen, especially with the butterball like Eastern conference where every team is very beatable, even the Caps who give up like 5 goals a game it seems.
I don't care about other teams. If the playoffs were single elimination then I would agree with your argument. Four seven game series will usually weed out the scrubs ie the Rangers.

Only hockey fans will argue more after winning two good games, than losing 3 bad games.

The goal should be to win the Cup, not to stumble into the playoffs. And yes, while anything can happen, it's not very likely to amount to anything.

Coaches get fired all the time despite leading their team into the playoffs every year. Hell, Renney got us there several times in a row.

My bad, didn't pick up the sarcasm. I should have.

Just can't stand how overly positive Sam Rosen and "some fans" are when Drury or Rozsival or Redden have a game where they're not ABYSMAL. Sam Rosen saying "BLOCKED BY DRURY! WHO ELSE GIVES UP THEIR BODY TO BLOCK A SHOT!!??" in the Pens game really put me over the edge. I don't know Sam. I'm gonna go with "c) every other penalty killing forward and defenseman in the league?"

I want the playoffs as well. Let's get healthy and keep rolling.

That's just what I was going to post. I don't get it. I'd rather hear more from the head coach than going "around the nhl" or hearing Pidto talk.

I'll say this once:

If you have an issue with the moderating, address it in a PM. If you're going to be a punk, expect to be treated as such.

If you're not a moderator, don't try and act like one.
