Women's hockey is more competitive than men's hockey was in its first few Olympics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_hoc...inter_Olympics

Exactly. Let them have their World Championships, cause the game has to grow somehow, but the level of competition is just not high enough to have it in the Olympics.

I feel bad for this goalie. She's made some unreal saves.

Then let it grow in the Olympics as well.

That 10th goal made it obvious that the goaltender is a lot better than the rest of her team. The defense was doing nothing during that little scuffle when Team Canada finally scored.

I hope Canada doesnt get overconfident now. It only takes a dozen of quick turnovers and we have a tight game again.

Great Olympic competition right there. Women's hockey is a joke.

It's surprising that refuse to include Women's Ski Jumping, but they include Women's hockey. Is ski jumping's level of competition really any less?

I just went to make a sandwich and meanwhile Canada scored two shorthanders.

What a joke...

Seriously, is there any other Olympic sport (summer or winter) where two participants are so complelely dominant.

They need to ease up on this game. Like mentioned above they will look like Jackasses if they keep running the score. I know they're good, but once you get past 6-0, you've basically won so stop putting out your top guns.

Not that women aren't capable of being just as good.

I've never watched the Olympics before -- are they allowed to fight?

The Canadian goaltender could be picking dandylions down there.

The Olympics are supposed to be a showcase of the best, not a place to develop.

I bet the women's hockey is one of the most attended sports during those Olympics. Isn't that enough?

Difference between the WCs and the Olympics are that the Olympics gets so much more coverage that it helps the sport grow.

I can see your point, but these women are the best in their category.

Does Slovakia have any shots on goal?

Body checking is a penalty in womens hockey. Does that answer your question?

Furthermore, it's the Olympics. Nobody is allowed to fight.
