7-3 Lose No More Pain For 2 Weeks

Thank Heavens That Is Over

Atleast for a fort night we don't have to put up with these outings

I asked this in the GDT but do you still think the Oilers will draft 6-10?

This game affirms that Getlaf is the straw that stirs the drink in Duckyland. I was at the Quackers v. Flamers game last night and the Ducks looked abysmal with little to no offense and a fire drill defense. Tonight on a back to back they come in and take it to the homeside.

Team Canada needs a 'Laf in its quest for Gold. Sure tonight's results were against the Mighty Oil Leak but with big minutes and a 4 point night, hopefully Getlaf is good to go for the Gold.

Oiler players can now vanish to the four corners for some R and R. For most of them, it should be spent on a 'working vacation' in beautiful downtown Springfield. They haven't played like NHLers this year...

Do the Oilers and ducks ever hate each other, look at all those penalties.

Too bad we got killed on the pk.

sick goal by Getz to make it 6-3.

the HDPPV broadcast now cuts to a view of the olympic cauldron burning in vancity, picture is grainy as all hell and the song "1999" by Prince begins playing... bushleague production if there ever was one.

Well I actually enjoyed parts of the game earlier on when the Oilers looked good shorthanded and put some good pressure on... then they went overboard calling penalties and started camping in the penalty box and it turned into a rout. Ref needs that pea in his whistle stuck up his ***.

If you don't include the 45 minutes the Oilers spent in the penalty box and the 50 shots Anaheim got while on the PP... it was a decent game for the Oilers.

I really doubt it. I don't think anyone is going anywhere before draft day.

JTS keeps saying that the Oilers will draft 6-10 and I'm just asking if he still thinks that.

Pretty sure he's not hurt. He got a misconduct during the Comrie scrum/fight with about 5 mins left.

My mother-in-law (a great lady but a non-hockey fan) thought she was giving me a nice surprise by ordering the PPV when my wife & I were over there. I didn't have the heart to tell her that sitting through the whole debacle was about as pleasant as a root canal.

He was given a 10 minute misconduct with about 5 min to go in the game. Comrie looked like he was about to go with Wisniewski, and Moreau jumped in with gloves off. He and Bodie were assessed the misconducts and didn't return.

let see what happens at the trade deadline and who is left for the last 20 games--Leafs are in free fall, looks more and more like the canes will move their vets, and with Florida and the NYI also looking to move players--I am not willing to say it is a slam dunk for the oilers to get a top 3 pick yet

Here is how I see the last twenty playing out--oilers only make minor tweaks and no HUGE deal like some fans want and the oiler player's start playing for pride and nothing else. As we roll into April, leafs sit in 30th spot, oilers 29th, canes 28th, florida 27th, NYI 26th and BJ's 25th.

My prediction for the bottom 6 draft order

Leafs(bruins own pick)
Canes
Florida
NYI
Oilers

MOre over --I predict this board goes into a full meltdown during the last 4 games of the year-because the oilers go on another winning streak and the teams that we think can get anywhere near the oilers are losing--while the oilers win.

The oilers are a jinxed team--the lose when they should win and they win when they should lose

Another shorty by Ethan, and led the team with 6 shots.
Horcoff with 3 assists and a plus 2 in a 7-3 loss.
What the deuce is going on?

If you think that was a decent game by more than 3 of the Oilers, your standards are way too low.
