Although, if it a Vokoun/Florida pairing we are looking at as a trade partner, why would Crawford be a part of that? Florida is stocked with goaltending in the pipeline (i.e. Markstrom, Salak, Cheverie), I don't see why they would want Crawford to add to the stable.
Maybe we have to take Clemmenson back in deal and they would want a Huet/Crawford duo until either Salak or Markstrom is ready for NHL (WOuldn't make sense for us)

Or they have a deal to move Clemmenson to another team and need Crawford to be there #2

I know you guys don't like Huet, but have you watched Thomas this year? Yikes, plus he's signed for 3 more years going forward, I want no parts of him.

I want no part of him either

He plays slightly better then Huet this year but his contract is worse

I would rather keep Huet then see Thomas here

Talked to a longtime NHL scout today and he said Tim Thomas won't be dealt at deadline. "No market for goalie w/that age, $$, yrs and NMC." 3 minutes ago from web

thank god

And yet Huet would have a market?

There will be a market for goalies. Remember that the three days until March 3 will be crazy and desperate teams will make desperate deals. Consider teams like Washington, Chicago, Philly all need a number 1 goalie. Teams like Tampa Bay, Edmonton and even Atlanta might make a move. Also consider that teams like Florida if they move Voukoon will need a replacement.
So who is available: Voukoon, Roloson, Turco, Thomas, Huet
Don't be surprised if Thomas is dealt and the Bruins sweeten the package with a high draft pick ( Boston's first) to get a power forward.

TB and Edmonton make no sense

Nittymaki is playing great for Lightning and With Khabby's contract the Oilers wont be taking on anyone unless it is a UFA

Let's get specific, we've all heard Eastern Conference, right? As well as a player playing in the Olympics. All of which came from John Jaeckel's blog on HockeyBuzz. So unless we're shipping Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith, Marian Hossa, Brent Seabrook or Tomas Kopecky I would think we're receiving a player from the Olympics. Well I'm gonna throw out a preferable idea that makes a little bit of sense:

Antero Niittymaki
Andrej Meszaros

for Dustin Byfuglien and Cristobal Huet? Would that work cap-wise? This is my favorite option. I might even say throw in a first or second round pick from us but where the hell does Meszaros fit in?

Keith-Seabrook
Campbell-Hjalmarsson
Meszaros-Johnsson
Hendry-Sopel

That is four capable defensive pairings which brings up the question - are we also including Brent Sopel? He's been very solid lately and some team may really be buying high into him being a very steady 3rd pairing guy. Once again, only speculating. I have no source I heard this exact deal or any of the information I'm typing.

Another deal I bring up to question:

Tim Thomas
Dennis Wideman/Derek Morris

For what though? Where would Crawford fit into this equation? To me, this doesn't make much sense for us. I don't think any of this will fall through but if it does, I'll be happy.

Exactly why I don't think it's Florida. But if it is, wouldn't it be nice to have a situation like:

Tomas Vokoun
David Booth
Dennis Seidenberg

Cristobal Huet
Corey Crawford
Patrick Sharp
Brent Sopel
1st round pick 2011

Ahh, I will dream.

That deal would be horrendous

Thomas contract worse then Huet's and Wideman is worse then Barker this year

It would be great if we could get a bigger deal in place

To Hawks
Weiss , Seidenberg and Vokoun

To Panthers
Bolland , Versteeg , Aliu , Hawks 1st in 2010 , Hawks 1st in 2011 and Huet

Weiss for Bolland saves us a little more cap room and Weiss is a better player for our 2nd line

Sharp-Toews-Kane
Brouwer-Weiss-Hossa
Byfuglien-Madden-Byfuglien
Eager-Fraser/Burish/Kopceky

Are you nuts? Bolland, Aliu and 2 1sts. I say 1 1st, Versteeg, Huet, maybe a 2nd. For Vokoun and either Seidenberg, or Leopold. Unless David Booth or Nathan Horton are coming back as well then no to that first deal.

Weiss is a hell of a player , Better then Bolland + signed for cheaper and without the back troubles

I would love to have Weiss on this team.

Don't toy with my emotions boys! Weiss in a Hawks sweater would be amazing. Especially if Seidenberg and Vokoun were coming back with him.

I think Bolland can be a 60 Point Scorer + PKler.
And he knows this team.

Remember his last Goal?? really nice
