Can't wait to hear all the Louuuus tonight at GM place... even if it's only for 12 or 13 saves against Norway. I'm going to be Louuuuing extra loud just to spite bitter Flame fans.

Yes! It's sounded messed up since day 1. I was an advocate of calling it Hockey Canada Place, but then again with the stupid sponsors schtick

Hockey Canada Place sounds way better than Canada Hockey Place. You wouldn't think there would be such a difference, but there really is. I don't why they went with the latter.

Back on topic, Go Lu! Hopefully, the home town crowd helps Luongo put together a stellar game. Unfortunately, it could be his last if he doesn't.

If Canada plays well, he's likely not going to get a chance to have a stellar game. Look at Ryan Miller against the Swiss so far. They had one maybe C+ grade chance in the first period despite that USA playing pretty poorly.

Question: Will Canada have another practice?

We could list off all but 1 olympic venue in the last 50 years and that comment would still make sense.

I'd only count the NHLer Olympics where we are 1 for 3. But yeah, I get your point....

Luongo did his thing tonight, now it's Brodeur's turn. All the pressure is on him now. In Luongo's barn, in front of the Vancouver crowd. Should be interesting!

Luongo looked horrible handling the puck. Try that against a good team and the puck will be in the net before he scrambles back.

Everything else being equal Brodeur vastly superior in puck handling and without the trapezoid that gives the Team Canada D a significant advantage moving the puck out.

Not just Luongo today...I noticed a few other players had trouble handling the puck. Duncan Keith for example....

They all must have some nerves and the communication issues. The ice probably won't be great either for the whole tournament because of the amount of games being played on it in a short period of time.

You can expect Keith will improve.

Luongo always looks horrible handling the puck. He nearly got Aaron Rome killed earlier this season with a soft suicide clear.

Why was the pro-Canadian crowd in #Vancouver booing Canada goalie #Luongo, who is also a Vancouver Canuck? He's been soft lately, but boos?

Back in November (after Luongo was injured) I made a bet with a friend of mine... told him Luongo would start game 1 of the olympics for Canada, and he would not only get the win but also a shutout. He gave me 100-1 odds on this happening... in pushups. (100 pushups for me, or 10,000 for him, all done in one day). Needless to say I'm bombarding his facebook with trash talk right now!
