Not including goaltenders.....

Norway has 4 players weighing more than 200 pounds; the heaviest is 212 pounds.......

Canada has 16 players weighing more than 200 pounds..... Eight players weighing more than 212 pounds....

Size matters.......

If anyone is looking for game summaries the only place I could find so far is http://www.iihf.com/channels10/olymp...tatistics.html summary is down below by the scores. CTV's site for the olympics is terrible or stats and all the sites link there.

Ctv said they were going to show it. Not sure if they will show it in its entirety though.

Thank you.

Hopefully they carry the whole thing. It'll be really interesting to see the Russians play

So far it's looking like Yzerman's decision to go with NHL team familiarity - the Sharks line; the Blackhawks teammates; Pronger/Richards - is looking like a smart one.

I knew that Bergeron wouldn't last long on the top line.

My first thought at the beginning of the game was, Wow, out of all the players that we could pick to take to the olympics somehow our top line ends up being Bergeron - Crosby - Nash. Probably one of the worst top lines in Canadian mens hockey.

I said it after the teams were picked and I will say it again Bergeron sohuld not be at these games. Carter would be far more useful that Patrice. But oh well.

That game was fun to watch, absolute domination from Canada, played a phenomenal game in the last 2 periods outside of a few dumb penalties.

It's only Norway, but I think we may have a squad here folks. The difference from this game 1 and the one from Torino in 06 against Italy... I remember distinctly, when Canada played them they won 7 or 8-0, and most of the goals were individual efforts with little to no team play involved. They looked horribly average in those wins.

This team looks like it will get consistently better, and they have a very nice mix of players to compliment each other. Not to mention the coaching staff is absolutely amazing.

Agreed.

Right now Flames fans are wondering where this Jarome Iginla has been for most of the season.

Plus it may be the best defense core we have ever iced.

This may sound familiar but it helps if you surround the guy with quality linemates...something Iginla and Hemsky know nothing about.

I think that Neidermeyer has lost a step or two over the past couple of years but his leadership back there is important. Keith, Seabrook, Weber and Doughty all look great.

If they were smart they would realize that Iggy doesn't have a Crosby to play with.

As much as I love taking shots at Sutter and the Flames, acquiring that elusive elite centre is a tough task.

Boyle too, I thought he played a solid game. The real test in this tourney will be the Americans. I am still shuddering from seeing Pronger get burned by Thoresen in this game.

We'll see what happens when the Americans line up against Canada on the weekend. I didn't see much of a push from the Americans against the Swiss. I'm more afraid of Miller stealing a victory for them.

It's honestly amazing to see the combination of skill and speed on this squad. It's like, no one ever even looks at the puck, everything is heads up, tape to tape. Even when they shoot there's no need to peek down.

Mano-a-mano I just don't see the US (first noteworthy opponents, that's why I'm mentioning) being able to compete or match up well against us. Only way I can see them winning in a game is if we run into a serious case of Miller Time - or in laymans terms, their goalie steals the game.

Bergeron, as good as he may be, is simply a utility player at this point who will player all over the roster. Clearly Mike Richards can be an impact player for this team, and I even think Brendan Morrow can offer more in terms of momentum changing shifts he capable of giving.

I haven't changed my mind completely, but Yzerman could've definitely been onto something with the Bergeron selection, the guy is still a good player, but most importantly he's versatile and that faceoff prowess is most definitely going to pay dividends for the team.
