Hartnell(4.2, 3 more years)+Carle(3.437, 2 more years) OR Coburn(1.3, RFA after this season)+Maroon for Vokoun.

This is assuming Emery is hurt and is out for the rest of the season.

we cant give up 2 d men for zero back

never mind I didn't notice the slash.

I made an offer like this on pantehrs board, and they didn't like it. they want JVR/Giroux. Which as much as I love Vokoun won't happen for a 33 year old goalie

It's Hartnell + Maroon + Coburn OR Carle for Vokoun.

I'd like to get a minor forward back from Florida as well.

Asking for JVR or Giroux is a nonstarter. I'd rather go with Leighton.

Take out Carle/go with Coburn and it's fine.

We can send back Campbell or Kreps no problem. Dvo too, but he has 1 more year left, don't know if that's a problem or not.

Cambell sounds perfect.

Hartnell ($4.20) + Coburn ($1.30) + Maroon (PROS) = $5.50m

for

Vokoun ($5.70) + Cambell ($0.76) = $6.46m

Dvo is too expensive I would say.

Would you guys give up a UFA D man like Leopold aswell?

Hartnell+Coburn+Boucher+Maroon

Vokoun+ Campbell/Kreps +Leopold

First, Hartnell is not waiving his NMC to go to Florida. Second, if he was, then Flyers would need to add Giroux. Trade would look something like:

Vokoun + Leopold + Campbell

Hartnell + Coburn + Giroux

BTW, I know that the Flyer fans will not agree

MUCH rather Carle than Coburn. I'd want more back with Coburn included, not a minor forward

If Leo is included, add another F prospect like Nodl or Laliberte.

Giroux/JVR are deal killers. They're as close to untouchable as it gets and for good reason. This isn't a value issue, just that they bring more to the Flyers as players (and cheap production) than they ever would as trading chips.

Dunno if that works based on cap, but I'd probably do it if it worked.

C'mon, asking for Giroux/JVR is getting greedy.

There's no way Giroux/JVR are leaving Philly.....they would be crazy to trade them. If that is the asking price I can see them shifting to a cheaper alternative such as Roloson.

Turco is available as well but not sure how much of an upgrade he'd be.....

Flyers can't trade a top 6 forward and a top 4 defenseman without replacing them in the lineup. Creating 2 holes to fill one is just asinine. I'de love Vokoun, but they can't take on that salary for next season without creating a huge hole in their lineup and I don't see them doing that.

Flyers say no to Vokoun. Leighton is playing better then him.

Flyers need to add to there top 6, not subtract from it.

Flyers D is playing the best they have all season, why do you want to break it up?

Brutal proposal.

Vokoun is a top 10 goalie in the league.... Leighton is lucky to be top 45

You have not been watching Vokoun this season, obviously.

agreed. His numbers have been great and he's been very solid. But it's largely a byproduct of how well the Flyers defense is playing. Some right he's looked down right jittery with his rebound control and his positioning, the d has done a great job covering up those mistakes.

I'll be the first to say that I'm incredibly impressed by how well Leighton has been playing, but he isn't better than Vokoun.

Vokoun has a better save % by .010%, has a GAA of 2.36, and faces an average of 31 shots a game to Leighton's 27. He's playing in front of guys like McCabe, Leopold, Seidenberg, Ballard, Kulikov, etc. Not to knock on them, but they are a bunch of solid #3 and #4 defensemen, not elite guys like Pronger and Kimmo. Vokoun is a top 10 goalie in the league, and is in a completely different league than Leighton.

You have to remember the Flyers currently have 7 top 6 forwards in the lineup. If moving Hartnell gets a legitimate goaltending threat, you absolutely do it. As for moving Coburn, although he's started to turn it around lately, he's still not playing top 4 minutes. That being said, I agree with you that moving any of the Flyers' requires filling that spot, as I would not be comfortable going into the playoffs with less than 8 NHL capable dmen (this is factoring in that Parent and Syvret will be healthy once back). With all that in mind, I really don't think the Flyers are in position to acquire Vokoun.

just my take but the flyers are parting with both thier lone power forward and thier best power forward prospect if maroon cant be switched out id ask if oreskovitch could be the forward coming back.

I don't see why not. Vokoun still has some solid years ahead of him.
