What happened to......

the "A" on Crosby's sweater? I thought he was named an Alternate Captain for Team Canada.

I asked myself that, too. Pronger, Iginla and Crosby were named alternates, so we should see Crosby with an A on Thursday.

He should be wearing the C in my opinion, but whatever. They don't ask us Canadians our individual opinion on who the captain should be...

Yea I was wondering that too.

Regardless, I don't think I can ever watch another Penguins game. Seeing Crosby without nice wingers is like getting stabbed in the stomach

Don't speak about such things. God, can you imagine how pissed he will be when he gets back and nobody can finish his passes to save their lives...OH GOD GUERIN IS BACK!

Crosby: I come back to this? WTF!

I think there's a limit as to how many people can wear a letter. I'm sure they'll rotate it.

Rotation makes sense. His jersey just looks so empty without a letter.

Pretty sure Sid won't care when he comes back to our team. He won't care about his assists totals. He won't care about Guerin's ball-hockey ways. He won't care that Kunitz rarely shoots. He won't care that he and Geno both like to pass first on the PP.

He will only care about winning, which is why it's so much fun to watch him be.

They are rotating it. The writer for the PG's blog Empty Netters said that's what they were doing.

I'm not going to bother quoting that. If you want to find it, search for it.

Secondary Sid with the C on a team with Jonathan Toes and Mike Richards? Pierre and Milbury would slit their wrists.

Yeaaaaa but trying to fit that team within a salary cap?

BTW, I'd gladly take upgrading positions cheap at the deadline and winning Cups over having Sid play w/ great wingers every single time. We can't have both... and you know it.

Huh. This is a very well expressed thought. Don't see much of that around here.
Or maybe its just this diluted cough syrup the europeans call Nyquil

If you were born before a specific date, you don't have to wear one. But it is mandatory for all players born after that date. Not sure what that date is, but obviously Pronger was born before it.

All players born before 1977 were grandfathered in with regard to international play. They are not required to wear a helmet.

Pronger was born October 10, 1974.

I've heard December 31, 1974 as the cut-off date. If you were born after that, you must wear a visor.
