No one pm'ed me, but I think it's my pick.

I'll take Rusty Klesla to finish off a sweet defensive pair.

Pittsburgh Penguins select Ryan Whitney.

Comments:

"This was a little bit of a tough pick, but Whitney was too good to pass up. We feel that his passing skills are second to no defensive prospect in the draft, and we need that on our blueline. There were a few forwards who were a little tough to pass over, but we had to go out and get our franchise defensemen right now."

The San Jose Sharks
select
RW Milan Michalek

GM Patty Ice XXX sez:
"Man, this kid is going to be one helluva player. Already the best passer on his team, stickhandles like no one's business, and defensive awareness are top notch for someone so young. Plus he has speed, size, and acceleration to boot!! Injuries are a concern but a summer of careful conditioning should have this kid right back on track. Another gem I'm proud to pluck."

I've been sitting on Zidlicky since round one and was thinking someones gotta pick him soon, although it's been kinda hard to read some - picks like Ovechkin at #2 and Malkin #3 (they deserve the top billing, maybe a little too hig on my bill)

anyway - things will be getting very interesting now.

The San Jose Sharks
select
D Ryan Suter

GM Patty Ice XXX sez:
"Like father, like son, however, it should be like uncle, like nephew. This kid has big time talent, and while I don't see him becoming a number 1 defenseman (I only view 3 guys available in this draft to be worthy of that consideration and wouldnt ya know it theyre gone) in the league, he will be an excellent no. 2 guy which is nothing to sneeze at. He has great offensive abilites and carries the puck better than most his age. Not the ideal size you like for your defenseman which is part of the reason why I dont see him as a No. 1. However, he is still a great piece to add when building a great defense and I wasn't sure if he be available to me at this position."
