Need a glove recommendation...

I am very picky when it comes to gloves. For me to maximize my comfort I need a glove with a short cuff and a very wide opening. Does anyone use a glove that fits this criteria?

I was looking at Warrior and Eagle stuff today and the Warriors were all too long while the Eagles were nice and short but the cuffs were a bit tight.

Do you like a tight or loose fitting glove?

Loose. I can put up with a snug fit if its on the hand and fingers only, not the wrist.

Have you tried the TPS R8 glove? I can't stand a cuff that touches my arm at all and it didn't bother me. It's about middle of the road but broke in and got super loose.

I use the One75 right now and the cuff never touches my arm, best cuff in retail IMO. But it's a tight fit (which I like).

I have the Reebok 6K and I have been very happy with them. The cuff is pretty short but flares out to the point where it doesn't really touch your wrist at all. The price is right too; around $70-$75.

Look at the Easton SE16. They seem to fit very loose and I've tried them next to Bauer 4 rolls and they are noticeably more loose. The have a lot of room in the cuffs too and are not restricting at all.

Couple photos to show how much room around wrist and arm there is.

bauer 4 rolls are pretty much exactly what you decribed

rbks, some warriors, some eastons and others have tight cuffs and are tigh fitting and not alot of movement in them

i really dont like tight cuffs i like it open and loose also and i use the 4 rolls

they are a pro evel glove and are pretty cheap compared to others

I bought the 4-rolls and am getting more comfortable wearing them around the house until i actually play with them this weekend - first time I'm ever on the ice, this could be a national media event(!) - and was wondering about this; are looser gloves going to keep your hands cooler?

At first I was thinking a snugger, tighter fit would give more control, but might get too hot and sweaty.

I've never noticed. Some gloves have mesh gussets, ventilated palms, or even some vents in the padding to keep hands cool, but it's never been an issue for me.

i dont think it will make that much of a difference for either stickhandling or keeping them cool, i think its more your preference and what you like more

Looks like I have some browsing to do.

I don't like the loose gloves for ventilation or anything, it has more to do with freedom of mobility or at least the perceived additional freedom I think I get.

Like everyone else has said. Get the Bauer Pro 4-Roll gloves. Most Eagle gloves fit your desription as well.

I will have to try and locate some of the 4 Rolls or 8s in Winnipeg, those are probably the easiest to find.

If you don't want to settle Vapor XXX.

TPS R8/R10, medium-tight, first off the quality has gone down but yeah the cuff is short. It's not very open in the cuff either.
Mission L7, medium-tight a little shorter than the TPS R8/R10s, better quality.
Eagle X72, medium-loose probably the best fit that isn't the Vapor XXX.
Bauer 4-roll, medium-loose, breaking in very loose. Cuff is mildly open.
NBH Vapor XXX, medium-loose in the hand, extremely wide open cuff.

My Eagle Special Ed. gloves sound about right for ya. Pretty nice snug fit but wide open cuff, for me atleast.

Lil brother has some warriors(he has same size hand as me fuuuuuu) and the cuffs on those things are beyond tight, can barely squeeze my hand into em even though they are marked a size up.

Can't really go wrong with either the 4-Roll or the R8
