If Gaborik is an extremely tall black man, sure!

The buzz about the Knicks offseason is already building.

It's completely foolish to say no one cares about the Knicks.
Legit, I'd go to a knicks game if they (and I'd start calling them "we" again) get Lebron. I'm all NY teams except for the devils, so sign me up for King James. I miss the days of it being nearly impossible to get knicks tickets. Kind of sad when I watch old episodes of seinfeld and friends, how they would freak out when someone got knicks tickets...I'm about to pull out the ewing jersey.

Maybe DWade would catch a Devils game while he was here?
Well, Jay Z kind of obligated him to sign with the nets.

Same here. I used to be a huge Knicks fan back in the day. I haven't paid attention much, but I would go to games to watch Lebron.

Here is something even more weird. My building is right next to the nba store and I walk passed it every day. I'm was tempted today to go in and get knicks shorts...don't ask me why.

I used to like the NBA in the barkley days, but idk, I've never been to a game before and watching it on tv now sucks and there's only a few good teams each year with a legitimate chance of winning it. There's nothing worse than the final minute of a tied game. Timeouts and fouls yechhh

I'm weird though. I hate watching baseball on tv. I've never watched a full 9 innings on tv. It's just so slow. I enjoy going to games though. Went to a cubs game two years ago and that was a blast.

That's what everyone hates, the last 20 seconds take 20 minutes.

Live baseball is by far the best atmosphere of any sporting event (IMO). Definitely hockey is the most fun to watch in person though.

I think the fact that some have a tough time following the puck on tv is what turns people off from the sport. Those are the people you need to get to games because there's nothing like going to a hockey game. I think the atmosphere is better at baseball games, but that's the atmosphere. As for the actual game, it's slow and dull. Hockey kills it.

I forget the exact number, but they showed the average amount of time the football is actually in play during a game and it was something like 10 minutes.

Baseball has to be less.

COOL! Prokhorov(sp?) isn't messing around, is he? He wants that arena built....YESTERDAY. Good for him. Maybe he is just what the Nets need : Someone who doesn't give a s--- and will spend money on quality players.....or maybe I'm just giving someone who is a Bazillionaire a little too much credit.

I pray for Nets fans that they won't have the NBA equivalent of the Redskins Dan Snyder on their hands.

I love all 4 major sports (basketball the least by far since the game has went down hill since the 90s and Monmouth University's girls team could beat the Knicks). I just really hope the Knicks can land Bosh and Lebron. I'm a big Bosh fan and think he'd be great with Lebron.

I'll take international soccer or college football for best atmosphere

I usually get extremely bored at baseball games

yeah, I went to that Mets game last year, and the highlight of the game was Blue Smoke and a few Goose Islands (haven't seen those in years) before the game.

seats were awesome too, but the game was death, and it was the hottest day of the year.... in freaking April. that was also the problem, it was April, the game had no value. Mets games don't have value in general, but especially in April.

I'll definately go back next year, but will probably end up watching half the game. just get some cheap tickets and wander around

Once they move to Brooklyn - IF they move to Brooklyn - there will be no Nets fans. I can't see any of the folks who live in Jersey that make the current trek to the games, paying 30 dollars in tolls just to see that **** show of a team in Brooklyn, and no longer bearing the name "New Jersey" - oh wait, they already stripped that from the team.

They will be starting from scratch and will need to acquire new fans, might as well name them the Brooklyn Supersonics.

This was the smart move, it baffles me that it took this long to happen. The Nets in newark make so much sense. This is such a win win for both teams.

I don't think they will ever move to Brooklyn, not in two years at least. there is so much Red Tape that still needs to be cut though in Brooklyn, the deal has been dead than it's not dead & it's dead again. Right now it's gonna happen, but that could change.

LeBron can leave Cleavland after they win a title. That town deserves a tiltle more and he's friggin from there! Not a knock on long suffering local NBA fans here.

LOL we have a second "defacto" basketball thread!

LOLuongo. I went in september because my boss had season tickets with some friends. The game was terrible and my buddy and I were bored out of our minds. No one was around us and we were about 10 rows from the field. It was weird.

Are those really necessary to look like that though?? I mean, you are at a sporting event. You don't go to a basketball game to play pool and sit in a kitchen.
