I think he can play, but I don't know if he can play next year in the NHL. He's gotta have to be OK with playing in the AHL. He's real tiny. But it would be pretty cool.
I mostly want him to be our midget mascot and have his name on the back of a flyer jersey to be honest with you. If he ever takes a shift it's gravy.

Vikingstad brings Norway within 1,

There are a few mighty midgets in this tournament that are really fun to watch play...Latvia had one, whose name I do not recall.

People want to trade Giroux/JVR for this dime-a-dozen chump?

The last ten seconds of that period is an example of how not to broadcast hockey. They treat the play as if it is secondary and they got caught.

Norway tied it with 0.1 left. The play was offside though. Huge break.

ill take the Halak that stole the game from the Russians instead.
This isnt all Halak though, the team in front of him was asleep defensively that whole period.
WTF was Chara doing in the final seconds. just skating around in space

Beautiful shot on that last goal, too.

Of course, the conversation that Shafer is really referencing was almost entirely about Price (not Halak) as I recall it.

I 100% agree. But will the happen? Most likely not. Whenever there is a good player overseas, Homer doesnt look at him (If you dont count Mika). Homer just doesnt do that kind of stuff.

Plus I see him going to a team like Phoenix or something. I rebuilding team

ahhh ok.
That period by Slovakia was the classic, we think we have this game in the bag so we dont have to play like we should.
Slovakia better pull their heads out of their ass.

I actually doubt he could really hack it in the NHL at his size...he's fun to watch, but I'm not sure he could survive the NHL schedule (he's listed at 154 lbs). I'm sure he'll get a shot, but he strikes me as the epitome of a guy better off in Europe than over here.

I'd be willing to give him a chance. I remember someone saying Naslund was small. And Kane is pretty small. 5'7 is pretty small...

I do agree. Fun to watch.
