Do us all a favor and get out and skate at the Sommet Center on the 16th...it will help work those air bubbles out and settle the ice for a much better surface when the team gets back at the end of the month...

I so wish I could go to that open skate, but I don't have my own skates.

I'll be at the public skate, the Chill Out Party and probably two of the other three.

Zanies Comedy Club
7:30pm (Doors Open at 6:30pm)

Zanies Comedy Club is proud to host a very rare show; “Bumps, Bruises and Bedtime Stories,” featuring Nashville Predators broadcaster Terry Crisp and Preds alumni Stu Grimson and Jim McKenzie.

“Bumps, Bruises and Bedtime Stories” will give the hockey fan a rare peek inside the “glass” very rarely seen from their seat in the stands. Crisp, Grimson and McKenzie will share their own NHL stories, present videos and take questions from the audience. Sit back, sip a drink, have an appetizer and listen to some of their uncensored and outrageous comments and answers to your questions.

Yes, Grimson made the commercial for Hockey Ministries International I think...he is very involved in their programs.

I remember being invited to and attending a presentation from Stu Grimson and Adam Burt at a church breakfast back in Hartford about their faith and the challenges of keeping it while playing a violent sport that requires so much travel. I'm not very religious, but it was very interesting to listen to.

Here's a neat little article about Stu's involvement in Hockey Ministries International...

Actually, the group he did it for was the Foundation for a Better Life.

I stand corrected! Just remembered his involvement with Hockey Ministries International and thought it was a part of their campaign...

I really wish I could go to that too, but I am slotted to babysit over night that night. Bummer! I am going to the practice skate next Thursday though. Already made arrangements with two of my professors for missing class.
