Did you develop any new Man-crushes @ Vancouver '10?

Did you develop any new Man-crushes @ Vancouver '10?

Did you walk away from the tournament absolutely LOVING the play of any particular player?

Was there any player, especially one you disliked as an NHLer, that made you change your opinion after the tournament?

______________

Mancrush developed for me for Erik Johnson. I also developed more respect for David Krejci, who I really only hated because he was a Bruin. He looked dangerous.

Teemu Selanne, Brenden Morrow, Zach Parise, Ryan Miller, Tazer, pretty much the entire Canadian defense, and Demitra.

Shea Weber for me. Always thought he was just a decent defenseman until.. well... the last two weeks.

EDIT: Oh, and Ryan Miller as well.

Definitely Toews... I thought he'd be the 13th forward of this team, but wow he was selected as the best player of Team Canada, didn't see it coming!

I've always thought Rick Nash was awesome... after the Olympics he's even more awesome. Also, Vikingstad. Such a badass name.

Toews
Doughty

On the other side of things, Joe Thornton stinks.

Toews easily. Obviously, he has always impressed me, but playing under this immense pressure against the top players in the world, he won me over. He's now become my favourite Canadian player, as most of my favourite players tended to be European.

Drew Doughty. That guy could do no wrong on the Ice.

Also, my appreciation for Iginla grew even more. He's an amazing player.

But ya, Drew Doughty has one new fan.

Ryan Miller.

As a Hurricanes fan he has always been a foe. I knew he could be good, but this Olympics he was amazing. Seems like a nice chap off the ice too. He earned my respect...

Funny, I was thinking about starting this exact thread earlier.

Kesler, Miller, Suter.

I know, all US. They earned it.
