Patzold?

The Germans hung with Sweden for most of the game and Finland is a more winnable game, why the hell wouldn't you give yourself a better shot by keeping your starter in?

Well, they do play back to back (I think their next game is tomorrow), maybe that is why? They definitely don't wanna screw up against Belarus.

I read Franz Reindl,Uwe Krupp really, really like Patzold...some Team Germany fans believe he shouldn't even be in the tourney, as former Sharks prospect Patrick Ehelechner registered far better numbers in the Del.

The only thing that Patzold should be doing for the Germans is opening the door to the bench. At least he'd be contributing his one valuable skill to the team.

it's the same thing. The S is only there from your GDT template. The rest of the time I didn't care about differentiating standard/daylight savings times because it doesn't really make a difference in telling people when the game is on.

Currently we have PST, over the summer it's PDT. I feel like it only matters to people who live somewhere that doesn't have daylight savings time.

Anyone know why Christoph Schubert isn't on Germany's team this year? I mean, he's not a great NHLer, but he's still an NHLer. Is he injured?

Because their GM thinks that taking DEL guys with prominent roles on their teams is better than taking fringe N. American guys.

He IS injured though. Still, I don't think Krupp would have taken him if he was healthy.

Pätzold is playing because he played the olympic qualifying tournament and got us here with a great performance in the decisive game against Austria,
it's about loyalty according to Krupp.

That's fair, I just remember Schubert playing in the last olympics.

Well, I'm hoping for another close exciting games like the two yesterday, and maybe another upset!

both are. It doesn't make a difference. There's no real need to denote the "standard" portion of the time. It's just a matter of whether or not you feel it necessary to differentiate that we're on standard time right now (which honestly I don't)

Yeeeesh, Patzold. He doesn't inspire any more confidence now than he did with the Sharks.

Yay, women's curling. One of the Canadian curlers is a ****/cougar tho.

Question Nem: Why is the term for attractive mothers bleeped out?? I'm guessing it's offensive?

It's true, and Danish women are always good. The game is on MSNBC though, so you can watch it.

Patzold sucks, I can't believe they aren't just riding Greiss. Or like, having some other goalie back him up...

Patzold's treating the net like he treated the door to the bench. Moving to the side and letting people through.
