It's a 15 minute interview from Oklahoma City's Local City cable channel.

I don't get it. I thought the oilers owned the team. Why did they sell it? Is that a rule the AHL has?

As far as I can tell that was just a slip of the tongue on Funk's part. To my knowledge they definitely did not sell the AHL team.

His group is the one that runs all the peripheral stuff such as tickets, promotions, event staff, concessions and the like. Nothing much more than that.

Lol, pretty big slip of the tongue. I was a little bit surprised by that statement.

Back in the day, the Blazers had a Broadcaster by the name of John Brooks. Watch this youtube video, and you will understand. It will happen about 2:45 into the video.

Yeah we would have heard about it if they had sold the team. They have been looking for years for a the right place to set up the team they own. So that would make little sense.

I remember seeing it mentioned on the Oilers website in one of the interviews that the franchise is being leased by the Oklahoma group.
