He could put Darche on the pp but try Sergei at the point on the pp like he us to play last year and get Spacek or Hamrlik off the ice.Martin is too chicken **** to play a forward on D during a pp
SK is awsome. I still don't get why Martin was such a jerk to him. I'm wondering if Sergei did something wrong or if Martin took him as a scapegoat. But this whole "bad attitude" shizzle doesn't convince me to be pro management on this one. Show them Sergei ! You're the best ! See you soon with the Bleu Blanc Rouge.
he did the same thing with Spezza. Jerking him around, putting him in the minors, not playing him etc. As soon as JM left, Spezza became a superstar.
At first it looks pretty cool, and yer like "Yeah Sergei!" But then you see he's up there with the Swiss and Norwegian dudes on the list with 3 games played. We'll see how that changes after today/tonight's blockbusters.
Seriously. It's great an all for a game or two, but holy !@#$ don't put Darche as a regular on the PP, even less with Metro on the same line.
I agree for Darche, but Metro leads the team in PP Goals and is tied for top 20 in the league.
I wouldn't mind if Sergei was kept off the PP if we had two strong wave, but we don't.
Furthermore, I can't understand why Martin never put him there when he was clearly the best player on the ice during a game.
It seems Martin adapts quite slowly during a game, if at all, and I know he was criticized a lot for that during his POs in Ottawa.

5pts in 3GP will always be good anyways. Even if people want to downplay it, saying he played vs Germany or wtv, it's still good.

Yeah, it's really fair when players on stacked teams get to play with superstars when Sergeď gets to play with average KHL players.
I saw the game. It was pretty exciting. Germany are becoming strong and the Swiss as well. Well, I really hope that the NHL returns to the Olympics. Also, hockey in Europe is expanding. This is great news for the sport.
ah good old sergei played well..after his disappearing act (like many others) vs. the flyers. thing in noticed the most? on the pp, he went to the net to screen the goalie. he needs to do that in the NHL, get his nose dirty a bit more

Well, there might be a bump up, but considering who he's been playing with and against, that's pretty good (given he's been misused as a joueur de soutien/part time scorer/most of the time benchwarmer). With Andrei, it could be very good for us. All the Habs have been really good if not great so far. Pleky has two goals (i havn't checked the Czech Russia game that's on now, have to make a presentation before the big game...so hard to focus) in two games. Markov had an assist in the only game he played (again, that may have changed) and by far Halak has been the star of this tourney so far.
This falls in line with my "our team is NOT that bad" mantra that I post very often. Like the Canadian team against switzerland (which was not as bad as people are going on about, just not at the level we expect), it's about getting the team to play the way they can. Hope we see that against the US and with our Habbies.
