Hey Guys, just wondering about something...

Would you chirp a guy who uses a wheelbag because he has to bring a stick bag, accesorie bag (pucks, rolls of tape, etc) and water bottles? I wheel mine but it's only because I have a lot of stuff to carry around and it's a lot easier that way...lol

If they do, there's a pretty standard two word response you can use.

Just wondering, why do you carry all of that extra stuff? Are you a coach or do you just do all the work for the team? =p

I play competitive still and mens league as well and in my competitive league theres a team with about 8 guys with pink laces, our first reaction was to chirp the hell outta them but we quickly realized one of the players mothers had passed away earlier in the year from breast cancer and it was a tribute to her.

I dont chirp at all in mens league, were in a lower division, im a pretty good player and still young (19) compared to 85% of the guys so I just keep my mouth shut and play hockey. I dont even raise my hands when i score lol i feel bad almost (ive got like 17 points in 9 games). I only play in that division because its cool playing on a team with my old man.

In my regular league I love chirping, some gear i'd chirp:

CCM skates with black blade holders (sooo ugly)
Fishbowls
Cascade helmets
Halfcage/half visor
Player masks on a goalie

Still curious guys, would you chirp the half cage/visor if it was for medical purposes? As in, I'd kinda like to play, but don't wanna risk errant sticks under a half shield, but would struggle with a full cage?

Actually, a huge hate of mine when I'm at the rink filming (we watch the public skate before we get to work) is people with green laces in one skate and orange or some other colour in the other...

WHY??

Ditto girls in stupid neon skirts/leg warmers and leggings...

Sorry for the hijack *wanders out of thread*

You must be a very insecure hockey player. Rofl.

That doesn't really sound like a medical purpose. Thought you were gonna say that you only had one eye or something...

If you're asking before you put it on your own stick, just do it. Obviously some people chirp over everything that they can and some people just don't care.

I'd ask one of these guys who walk around rinks checking out what guys are wearing and how they accesorize. Just be careful when you go into their locker room, from what it sounds like there is a lot of beaking going on in there.

Colored grips are pretty common. Don't worry about that.

This reminds me of that South Park episode where Token feels excluded because he's rich:

Token: You mean, you want me around?
Stan: Sure, dude, you're our friend.
Token: Yeah, I know. But you guys always rip on me for bein' rich.
Stan: Dude, just because we rip on you for being rich doesn't mean we don't like you.
Kyle: Yeah. We're guys, dude. We find something about all our friends to rip on. We made fun of you for being rich just like we make fun of Butters for being wimpy.
Butters: They sure do.
Stan: Yeah, like we rip on Kyle for being a Jew.
Kyle: Right. And Stan for being in love with Wendy.
Stan: Yeah, I get it for that.
Kyle: And Cartman for being fat
Cartman: Uh huh.
Kyle: And Cartman for being stupid. And Cartman for having a ***** for a mom. And Cartman for being a sadistic *******
Cartman: Ey, you did me already!
Token: You're right, guys. From now on, I'm fine with being made fun of for being rich.
Stan: Oh, but we're not gonna rip on you for being rich anymore.
Kyle: No dude. Because since you got your feelings so hurt for being ripped on, now we think you're a sissy [sic].
Stan: Yeah, so now you're a sissy. Sissaholic.
Kyle: Come on, Nurse Token. We're gonna play football, you puss.
Cartman: Sissy.
Butters: Heh yeah, later, puss.

Been chirped (friendly though) by the ref for our team wearing the free jerseys we got from the league for getting our money in early without bothering to even get a logo on the front. "Spend a lot of time on those, did ja?"

A visor that attaches to the helmet at three points... in the center as well as the sides.
