bob mckenzie on nhl live "crosby dominated", "i cant remember several of the usa guys ever touching the puck ever" etc etc.

bob's normally quite balanced, but he's pulling a real homer analysis here.

Put away the bias, Isles fans. If you think Drury doesn't belong on this squad, you haven't been watching.

While I don't really agree with the whole "crosby dominated" statement, I completely agree that a couple of USA's 'top talent' players were invisible like Statsny, Kessel, and Pavelski.

Seriously. I knew Stastny sucked, but I at least heard his name mentioned. Did Kessel do anything?

Drury is definitely on steroids right now.

I can safely say that there's not a game a 2 game stretch for the Rangers that I've seen Drury play so well in.

Plus at the end of the game did you see him with Miller? Dude's never done that with Lundqvist...Sabre at heart still apparently.

I guess I'll just keep hoping that he comes back after the Olympics and plays this hard for the Rangers, but honestly, I know I'm dreaming.

That right there is what irks me to no end, that " The USA didn't win as much as Canada lost" attitude.

"Crosby dominated" But finished -2 or -3 on the night?

Uncle Daddy making his usual "Lucky bounce" argument to cover his fouling the bed.Funny how when Uncle Daddy is playing well its all hail to the finest evah, but when he screws the canine its a lucky bounce?

This is their dream team and it appears they expect the rest of the world to simply fall to their knees in awe of Canadian hockey prowess.

You want the gold medal? Compete for it and win it.This idea that the rest of the world shouldn't even dare to set foot on the ice (Which itself is a Canadian invention dontchaknow?) because "We're Canada and this is our game" is a steaming pile of manure.

The United States hockey team defeated the gods who deigned to come down from Olympus and make sport with the mortals.

They'll get over it.

I'm really excited about the US win. It has created a situation where one of Canada and Russia will not medal....WOW! Assuming Sweden wins their first round of elimination games (which they should), Canada will now have to beat Russia and Sweden in order to advance to the gold medal game and that is not going to be an easy task at all.

Yeah, what the **** was that about? I noticed that too but forgot about it til you just mentioned it. Never seen that much passion from Dru after a Rangers win... Kind of irks me.. if he can get that passionate about his country in a 2 week tournament, why not the team he plays 82 regular season games with...

I guess I can hope for the best in that he'll come back rejuvenated and continue his passionate, involved play for the rest of the year

the olympics happen once every 4 years...at MOST a player will play on the team 4 or 5 times..its an honor and a rare opportunity...players can play 1500 NHL games in their careers... kinda comparing apples and oranges here.

You're right... but... for him to show that much emotion (screaming and fist pumping) after a PRELIMINARY round game after not seeing him show that kind of emotion in his tenure with the Rangers even after an important reg season or playoff win just bothers me. I can't pretend it doesn't.

Drury knew full well what it means for USA to beat canada.Just like he knew what happened 30 years ago.To relive that, I would be fist pumping and yelling too!

I think people are reaching with this hate towards Drury.

He is overpaid. We get it.

He does play with passion. He always screams and fist pumps when he scores.

Just because he is reserved iin interviews, doesn't mean he doesn't care.

Also, this is the Olympics.

Not a Rangers game in a losing season, on a bad roster, in the dog days of the winter.

If this were late May/early June Drury would be fist pumpung his head off.

I think Parise belongs on that list too. He's been decent, but I haven't really seen him do anything special. Maybe he likes Marty too much

I don't think Crosby dominated in that game. He looked frustrated as hell until that late goal.
