Do we still own Pisa's rights?? I still see him on the in the system list. Does anyone think he can make the team next year if we still have him???? Sather should have played him when he had the chance.

sign????? he was signed, I dont think his contract was up last year. I know he is still on web site "in the system", but with Rangers youth movement, maybe Sather will try to get him back to the NHL so we can have another dman and maybe Sather learned the mistake of not signing Zidlicky.

Sather: Mr. Pisa "You gotta prove yourself b4 I try to offer you a good contract"

Pisa: "But u offer stiffs like Ulanov and Malakhov and Karpa big contracts"

Sather: "Well they are big names in the NHL and are well known to the league"

Hey Sather please sign Pisa, we will have another good dman on our hands.

I don't think we still have his rights. If I'm not mistaken, he was a free agent that wasn't offered the 10% increase in salary required to retain his rights (qualifying offer).

In any case, I don't think he and Zidlicky are in the same world, let alone class, skill-wise. Zidlicky is a world-class puck mover and fantastic skater. Pisa owns a very hard shot but not much of anything else.

technically we still hold pisa's rights but we could lose him for nothing if another team signs him since we lost our right to match due to a technicality with his qualifier...

but there is zero chance of the rangers signing ever signing him IMO...they let him go to russia over $100,000 and now this year he'd rank behind tyutin, rachunek, pck, lampman, kondratiev, nycholat, etc. he doesn't fit into the plans at all

Where do some of you come up with this stuff?

Pisa is one step away from selling potatoes at a roadside stand somewhere in Siberia.
