Artyukhin takes stupid penalties and earns suspensions that hurt his team. I don't mind that so much.

But in expense of the opposing players' (potential) injuries. I wouldn't want any of our players get slewfooted.

Darren Dreger of TSN is reporting that the Preds and Flyers are apparently working on a Hamhuis deal. Rumor has it that Nashville is eying Ryan Parent as a piece of the return package. Interestingly, Parent was a Nashville 1st round selection before being dealt to Philly in the 2007 trade for Peter Forsberg.

Wayne Primeau, former Shark, talks about the butterflies of being traded (he's got the call half a dozen times).

also, I ask people to keep rumors at least reasonably legitimate. No mysterious unconnected twitter feeds, no hockeybuzz (the main board might tolerate Eklund, but I sure as hell won't), nothing that can't at least be vouched for as somewhat reliable.

EDIT: This guy is claiming someone is telling him that the Rangers are talking to SJ about Heatley? That seems...odd.

Umm ... which Danny Boy? And what is "5"?
His source sucks, because there is no way Doug Wilson would be talking about either of them.

I think "danny boy 5" means Dan Girardi (he wears #5 for the rangers). I don't think it's meant to be about Boyle. He also speculates Seto for Girardi + Dubinsky. If the team wants a slumping, 40 point winger they're better off hanging onto Seto. (and I mean 40 points this year, since both are projected for 35-40 by season's end. Never mind that Dubinsky has historically been a 40ish point guy and Seto has better scoring potential)

Whoops. Clearly too many Danny's in the league.

I haven't heard much about him. Is he top-4 potential?

25yo, 4 NHL seasons (3 and a partial) all with New York. big kid (6-2, 210). From what I've read he plays a decent all around game, but he's not quite as strong as you'd expect from someone with his size, and he's somewhat inconsistent. For the Sharks he's probably a 4/5 guy who plays on the 2nd PP.
