1st pick

What do you guys think of the Hawks drafting Lukas Kaspar for the Czech league in the fist round? He's got good size that they need and is also a well needed winger.

I think the odds of Kaspar being drafted first (3rd overall) are very slim. I still think the Hawks should draft Barker. I even think they should trade a couple of their seconds to move up to grab Malkin. He's got first line potential. Not a lot of first line centermen out there these days...

If they wanted Kaspar, they coulk dprobably trade down to get him.

fron everything i have read and i may be wrong, the red line and some hockey site, this guy will be lucky in being drafted in the first round. however his stock is rising. other than that, i wish i knew more about him and his talent

Well, he is only ranked 6th among European skaters but because of his size I would think that would move him up in the actual draft. But I havn't read an actual scouting report on him, mainly due to the fact that I can't seem to find out where to get any.

Lukas Kaspar
-- projected draft spot: anywhere from 20th to 35th
-- power forward
-- good offensive instincts, good checker, average skater, below average defensively

DRAFT ROSTISLAV OLESZ!
