Thank You Vancouver

I was one of the first jerks to jump all over VanOc early on and I couldnt have been more wrong. Your games will be a lasting legacy for all of us to remember. You served your country proud, with dignity, with grace, with pride with a big old dose of Canadiana!

Yeah! Canada! The NHL season resumes in a few days, when we can go back to hating each other, but for now let's be united and bask in the glory of Canada winning the game.

It's funny...

Standing on the corner of Granville and Robson after the win over the Slovaks, just holding up a Canadain flag I was surprised...The thought running through my head wasn't "Wow, look at this city. I'm so proud". It was easily a sense of "I'm so proud to live in this country and I'm so thankful the city I live in was fortunate enough to showcase Canada to the world. To announce we've arrived."

We too often get forgotten about because of our neighbor to the South.

Driving home after the game today in Calgary, kids all over the place wrapping themselves in flags and getting nothin but honks and yells there way all the way home. It was soo much fun and we salute you - proud is not a strong enough word to say! Maybe togetherness is the best way to describe it - we were all one!

If I could give any piece of advice, when they proclaim these games as closed - dont feel mad or depressed, remember that it will be remembered by all of us forever! The party in the streets may go away, but the love will not!

The sarcasm smiley is actually sucking his finger and putting on his seductive face. We should really have a combination of sarcasm and naughty...

Why are they passing the flag to Sochi? Sam Sullivan took it on behalf of Vancouver at the last Games in Beijing, not the last Winter Games in Turin. They're skipping London...?

Calgary fans should be especially proud. Iginla has been 'posterized' forever as the Gretzky to Crosby's Lemieux.

Furlong really should have been coached on his French pronouncation.

Just terrible.
