Welp, boys and girls, have a nice second and third period. Maybe I'll catch the tape, or maybe I'll just watch Canada-Slovakia when I get back...
"Believe it." - Al Michaels's segueway back from the commercial break, with the 6-0 score display.

Warren Strelow must be spinning in his grave about now.
(Of course he would be very happy for the US team)

It would be nice, but he does have some very important assists.
And is getting A LOT of nice compliments from Mcguire, Eddie O and Emerick.

I just woke up fully expecting to see a score of 1-1 or somethign tight like this.
Then I see 6-0
Now I must ask, did someone pull a nancy kerrigan on Kippersoff cause what the hell happened to this teams defence?

Looks like the boys are going to take it easy and coast the rest of the way.

Kipper was about 30 feet in front of the net and did some lazy slow pass that pretty much went right onto Malone's stick.

Kipper came way out to play a puck because Kessel would have a breakaway. Kipper then proceeded to throw the puck right past his d-man, to Ryan Malone who had an open net.

Lots of compliments from commentators. Great positioning.

As long as they don't do it with a 2-1 lead with 14 minutes to play in the 2nd on Sunday. I still have nightmares about that.

I have to give Wilson some credit for how defensively aware this team has been since after their first game with Switzerland. They do a great job of cleaning pucks up in front of Miller. Block a lot of shots, break up a lot of passes, just great overall defensive zone awareness.

if Miller chokes up 6 goals, he should find asylum in a nation that doesn't know what hockey is.
