to add to this there's a reason this kid has won at every level... has a stanley cup, a wold jr gold, an olympic gold, an mvp, a lester B, an art ross, 2 CHL mvps in his only 2 seasons... blah blah keep hating and pretend anyone has done what he has at 22

Maybe. But if you put Crosby on the Wings, or team USA, they win. I'll stake claim on that.

Besides I don't have to speculate, Crosby has won the clutch games. So far AO has watched.

Isn't the only thing he has missed out on so far a Memorial Cup?

how about you just admit your favourite player hasn't been a part of a great team... why would crosby play big for a team he isn't a part of, why speculate how he would play on a team he will never be a member of... just agree that the main member of the teams you mentioned failed to deliver instead of trolling in a crosby thread

I fail to see how I was trolling when all I did was ask a question and I mentioned that Crosby is clutch its not like I came in here and said
"everyone look crosby had one point in 3 games" I didnt so I hardly see how I'm trolling
And yes Crosby has accomplished more in his career right now I fully expect AO to start catching up thats my opinion you have yours I dont know why your getting so defensive
There both the only generational players in the game today one has been apart of and contributed to great teams the others team is a couple years behind developing and is just starting to become a good team and could challenge for a cup this year

With Crosby instead of Ovechkin, the Capitals have a better chance of winning the Stanley Cup.
With Crosby instead of Ovechkin, Russia has a better chance of winning the Olympic Gold.

Crosby knows want it takes to win in the ultimate big games ... Ovechkin doesn't.

yes. made it to the final and lost to London Knights who were favoured i believe...I think he took his Oceanic to the Mem Cup twice and reached the final once...going off memory.

edit: Crosby only played in 1 mem. cup tourney in 2005.

What? Let the others do all the work and swoop in taking all the glory.

Trolling is trying to instigate an emotional reaction. Clearly by knocking Crosby you achieved that.

I'm glad you have you opinion, in the meantime, Crosby is better and more effective than AO.

Well thats the most ridiculous statement ever.

AO can just sit back and lose I guess, while Crosby sits back for the opportunity to win. If thats how you believe it goes down.

And he was great in the tournament. Sadly, the championship game was quickly over thanks to Eric Neilsen and his stupid five minute penalty. The Oceanic never recovered.

If swoop in taking all the glory meant doing all the work that lead the Gold Medal winning goal, then YES.

Even with watching the closing ceremonies, that is easily the dumbest thing I have seen tonight.

fair enough but I dont see why you would ask if the younger of the only 2 elite players in the game could accomplish the same as the older player if they switched teams ... then suggest the older player will soon catch up to him, this is by no means a great arguement. you were clearly suggesting that crosby was a product of his team, as opposed to being a main contributor to his teams success

Yes. That's exactly it.

I mean, you can tell from the kid's general demeanor that his such a spoiled little glory hound, right?

So true.

He is the leader of his teams, at the ridiculously young age of 22. And his teams win, famously. That is how peers judge greatness, even if a few here still don't get it.

You play this game to win, period. This guy is a winner (and an extremely modest winner ), the likes of which this long-time hockey observer has rarely seen. Others can have the ESPN nightly highlights, the pithy quotes, the individual points crowns.

Crosby's teams win games, Cups and tournaments. No coincidence.

Color me impressed.

(How can't one be?)

Totally forgot about how that game played out. You're right, Sid and his line tore that tournament up points-wise looking at the stats.
