The one part I was refereeing to how the Pens are a couple years ahead of the Caps developing and that's its possible the caps could get a cup (doubt it this year all signs points to Pitt repeating)

Sure, sure. Ovechkin's team lost. Crosby's team won. They aren't playing tennis.

The round robin game was on overtime classic and the second one, the championship game, was out of hand quickly. Neilsen punched Perry in the face for apparentely no reason and got 5. The Knights scored 2 or 3 goals (I don't remember) and that was it.

The Knights were so stacked that year, they probably would have won anyway. But the first game between the two clubs was a real dandy.

No they aren't. AO gets 4 years to think about how he played like crap against Crosby. If it was tennis they could match up next month. Anything Else?

He scored the goal that won Canada the Olympic Gold medal. Why can't you accept that ???

To be fair, Sid wasn't at his best either versus the Russians. He came through in the end and even though he did have a good tournament, he wasn't playing like Sidney Crosby can play.

I was very thrilled to see him score the golden goal and redeem himself for his average performance, though.

The measures Crosby bashers are going through to try to justify their bashing is amazing.

Fascinating things happen when your best player attracts the oppositions best defenders.

Guys like Perry get a little more space against worse checkers.

No one said it wasn't a team game. But no one else scored the winning goal.

Of course there is. The second Ovy gets the puck, he skates as fast as he can to the goalie and lets off a wrist shot with no consideration for the guy who is wide open for a one timer. Once that shot is missed, he finds a player who stupidly has his head down, jumps up and lights him up, and the cycle continues.

I am exaggerating, but you know what I mean.

8 hours or so after the event, you are right. In 20 years, his golden goal will be pretty much the only thing hockey fans will still talk about.

anyone that doesnt understand how crosby was so valuable probably has never played the game at a reasonable level

crosby played with heart and soul.. winning races to the puck battling hard in the corners and earning every inch of ice...

but OH NO OVECHKIN CAN SKATE REALLY FAST AND SHOOT THE PUCK REALLY HARD

get real

Figures. Sidney "Crysby" Crosby scoring the GWG, an aging tradeable Jarome Iginla with the assist and Roberto "7uongo" Luongo in net.

The worst dream of a lot of people. If you let hfboards determine the game it wouldn't have worked out like that ; )

It's amazing that at the age of 22, he has a Stanley Cup, an Olympic GOLD medal, a World Junior GOLD medal, and various NHL trophies...AMAZING!

It's actually quite shocking. It goes to show it has little to do with what Crosby accomplishes, and says a lot more about the character of the bashers. They can't say anything positive because the ability to be reasonable eludes them.

These are the same people that hate anything positive. The dark clouds that we all encounter in our day-to-day lives, and whom we avoid whenever possible.

if I did slight research, how many of you dubbed OV as the greatest mere weeks ago?

and how many OV threads would we see if he got this "golden goal"

the double standard is halarious, as was the hate for canada and crosby for the last 2 weeks, those pills are bittler but they still go down..
