I'm rooting for USA, but if Canada wins I'll be happy four Sharks will be involved, as well as removing Marleau and Thornton's choke status--well at least until the playoffs.

It won't remove anything if Canada wins. They will have triumphed in spite of the fact that Joe Thornton and the chokerettes were along for the ride, visibly hindering the great Sidney "HockeyGod" Crosby from achieving his rightful place as lord and master of the sport. After all, it's their puck-hogging, ice-time-grabbing ways that are the only reason he hasn't scored 30 goals and 100 points in the tournament so far. Canada will only win because all the clutchiness of Crosby and Luongo overcame the black hole of suck that the Shark quartet created.

At least that's what I would expect to see on the main board.

I'd love to see Luongo pull a Kipper-like performance in front of his home crowd with everything on the line. That would be priceless.

Eh, as much as all the Canadians want to rag on Canadian Sharks players, it just goes to show how hivemind they like to make themselves.

I really don't care what they think.

That line has generated the best scoring chances consistently against unrealistic all star teams.

To be truthful, the media via here in T.O. and Canadian coverage we have access to hasn`t been ragging on our Sharks, rather most that i`ve read and heard talk on has called our boys pretty good and consistent, truly. Last I heard was yesterday evening from Brian Duff of NHL network and as well as the whole panel on the Canadian hockey coverage, same scenario. And, it has been similar all along.

(Outside of team Canada, Naby on the other hand, has been really, really, really getting ripped apart. All have been joking and commenting that our teams management have got to be worried if he will ever be able to win 16 playoff games. And, this talk has been everywhere.)

Our team's management had got to be worried that he can win 16 games even before his performance in the Olympics. Although I find it amusing that people are thinking of 16 wins when he has never even won 12.

Brodeur, Kiprusoff, Nabokov all are elite goalies who had bad games in Olympics. No big deal, it happens.

In the NHL today only 4 goalies have won 16 games in a playoff series. Brodeur, Fleury, Khabibulin, Osgood. Out of these four the only goalie I would consider better than Nabokov is Brodeur. Even though there are only 4 goalies with 16 playoff wins (only Brodeur has done it more than once) come April there will be still be 16 teams who are going to try win the cup and more than likely it will be won by a goalie who doesn't have 16 wins, so past wins/loss don't matter today.

This is a team sport and you can't just blame the goalie for a teams shortcomings. Our playoff problems lately haven't been Nabby related, they have been major fails from our d-men and forwards.

I truly think team USA will pull this one out. Team USA have heart and determination and sometimes that is what you need to win the big game over skill.

It will be a great game either way it goes.

Lol, so true.

Watch Thornton, Heatley, and Marleau combine for the game winning goal and still be labeled chokers.

the sharks could each have a hat trick in the game win the game 9-8 and they would still be labeled chokers...

Imagine paying $5000 for tickets and then seeing a 6-0 score after the first period

Trick question. Ward only won 15 the year he took home the hardware.

yeah, that's totally not the point of the article, but don't let that get in the way of your ongoing one-man crusade against Canada.
