New Gloves

It's about that time to get some new gloves and I was hoping to get some recommendations from some people. I was checking out the TPS R8's and R6's and those seem pretty decent for the price. I also saw this new company SBK and it seems to me that its pretty much Sherwood under a different name. Any ideas on some decent gloves around the $100 mark?

i just recently bought some new gloves. after looking around for a while i settled on a pair of bauer pro 4 rolls. they are absolutely amazing gloves. so much mobility, extremely comfortable, and light (especially compared to my old gloves!).

i would recommend the pro 4 rolls if they are in your preferred price range. they are pretty killer gloves

Yeah, the ruler of the 100 dollar category is the bauer four roll. It's hard to find a glove with the mobility and protection of the four roll, even if you spend an extra 35 dollars or so.

Nah, the R8 palm is notoriously bad.

both the r8 and bauer 4 roll are good suggestions. personally, i wasn't too fond of the r8 because the fingers felt sorta clumsy to me, kinda like they were catching on one another(and this is even after breaking in).
i prefer the suppleness of the bauers. other solid options are the ccm 4 roll pro's and the warrior bully pro's, if you prefer a tighter fit. another really good option if you prefer a more tapered fit is the nbh vapor XXXX pro as you can find them on closeout now for $100.

I really like the R8 but I also haven't tried the 4 roll. Those seem to be the most common recommendations on here though

Do you know this from first-hand experience? Meaning have you had Grafs that physically did not hold up well over time?

At the LHS I tried on both the Grafs and the Bauer 4-rolls, and while I felt the Graf 700s were more comfortable, I bought the Bauers based upon the recs here on the board.

The Bauers are a looser fit than the Grafs, and might not be suitable for someone looking for a tighter fit.

You can get Bauer Supreme One90s for under $100 on Ebay now:

http://cgi.ebay.com/BAUER-SUPREME-ON...#ht_500wt_1182

I love mine. I bought them from this same Fincup guy and it looks like he has several more pairs available. I can vouch for fast shipping and legit quality.

Meh mine are holding up just fine. Changed from bauer somethings (they were top of the line when I got them a few years ago) to the grafs. I think the Bauer's felt like they would protect my hands better, but the grafs are more comfortable

Those looks suspiciously like One50's with a new palm.

No they don't. Look at the piece by the junction of the thumb and index finger. They're One90s.

That said, if you wanted to argue that the One50s aren't all that much different than the One90s I probably wouldn't fight you too much.

I have a couple of seasons in them now, palms are starting to go, but it's far from "blown"

Sorry for threading jacking, quick question. Is repalming common? Do LHS have this service? In SJ area if anyone knows a place that does this. Thanks
