Pyatt recalled

More importantly, aside from Cammalleri we're finally looking healthy!

Can't wait to see the brothers playing together.

That's what i was thinking, too. D'Agostini is in his last days as a Hab.

Anyone thinks we'll ever get something for D'Agostini if he isn't gone by the deadline?

Probably a similar quality player. Maybe we can get Jay Leach back.

I'd like another Pouliot or Pyatt

I actually liked Leach the 7 games he was here. He played surprisingly mistake-free hockey and has some size and even decent skating ability for a 7th defenceman that could reliably be played if someone goes down. He also seems to have a great attitude, a bit like Darche I guess.

I would like Gauthier to sign him for league minimum to be our 7th D next year.

I like you Pyatt and I'm gonna let you finish, but Ryan White is a much more physical player than you and that's what we need.

Though, it's not your choice to be recalled, or not and you are playing well, but so has White.

I was hoping to see:

3b. Darche – Lapierre – White (Latendresse – Lapierre – Kostopoulos V2!)

Pyatt is a buzzing bee but we can use more sandpaper on our bottom 2 lines.

No PK?
I'd rather have him than Mara, Gill, Spacek, etc.

I don't know what people see in White... I can't seem to notice good things about him. I would rather Desharnais, but I can live with Pyatt. He brings speed and energy, a bit like Bégin in his good days with us. Lapierre and Bégin were doing good things together, they brought a lot of energy to our team.

at the very least he hits everyone and anyone. Can't remember the last time we had a player who did it as much as him. Perhaps begin back when he still had his mojo and got chara to take stupid penalties?

Why do you want the brothers playing together? AK is our best sniper and SK doesn't deserve top 6 ice time.

What is your hate for SK?? You keep on complaining that he will be playing in the top 6? Tell me who you think will fit that role better than Sk right now that cammy is hurt?..id love to hear your response to that.

I agree that we have seen is top-4 level (to say the least).
Patience my friend, Patience.
Agreed. Surprising for a guy who is being developed, he is getting no PK ice time and not given much defensive responsibility.

I don't hate him, he's just not a very good player except for a good game once a month or so. You can't show up once a month and be a regular top 6 guy in the NHL. Maybe he can fill in until Cammy comes back, it sucks we have no better options.

Calling up Pyatt only means that IF the habs do trade then an extra player is already here to fill a spot until the new players show up.

i respect your opinion but i disagree. I think SK is fully capable of filling that role. he got 5 points in 4 games in the olymp. playing with nodoby. And not only did it show in the stats, if you watched the belarus games he played really well all around.

He is definitely capable, but his intensity and work ethic don't allow him to do it. When did he get 5 points in 4 games playing nobody?

You can make all the excuses for SK, but he's gotten a lot of opportunities with all the injuries this year and had not made the most of it. His offensive numbers are not what they should be. Yeah he's played stretches with less skilled players, but I have heard people on here for years saying Latendresse had less skill than SK, yet Latendresse found ways to produce with below average skilled linemates and no PP time.

in the olympics.. sorry i had edited my post. From what i see, i think martin is slowly working wth sergei, as did boucher. Im sure they worked on his dicipline and defensive games and those have shown to be the most improved parts of his game. Yes i agree he hasnt been putting up the stats in the reg season but anyone with eyes and a brain to interpret what they see can see the kid has talent, and lots of it. Its all about putting it all together. It will come, the same way you wanted everyone to be patient with Lats.. be patient with Sergei.

And when you comment on work ethic, i dont buy it. Where do you see he has a bad work ethic? from the french media? Cuz hes belarussian? Im sorry ive been to a few canadiens practices in Brossard, he is anything but lazy. He works really hard, and also in the games. The games where he wasnt skating hard, it was very obvious that we was skating on an injured ankle.

Patience, I agree. I was against him getting called up, but when he did get the call, he was the best defenseman on the team. Now I don't expect him to continue playing that good, at least for this season, but you have to admit an impact player like PK would be awesome to have. It hink he's so good that he's soon getting to that ont where he won't be learning as much in the AHL as he would be in the NHL.
