HUGE props to USA - they played outta their minds and skates - silver won't be so bad in a few days, months, years

I know they could taste gold. But still, you guys got silver and we weren't even going to ask that much of you. Smile. You did us proud.
Are you serious? Say an underdog team loses Game 7 of the SCF in OT. Are they supposed to parade around because they won their conference trophy?

Yes, way to go USA.

People doubted the team, but they end up in OT in the gold medal game.

Next generation of USA hockey looks very promising .

Total heart and soul performance by the US team throughout the tournament. Coming back from 2-0 in the final game to send it into overtime? Ridiculous. It's really a shame both teams couldn't win gold.

I'm hurting and disappointed right now, but I'm not at all disappointed in my team.

An amazing effort by Team USA, and congrats to Canada.

As a Albertan Canadian, who admires your country greatly, kudos to your Hockey Team...you are closing the gap to the point that Canada is only slightly better...if at all....

The game of Hockey won today and this should be a real boost for American Hockey and that is great for the whole game...

In reality, either team could have won today....Canada got the final lucky bounce and did so.....you can be sure, decent Canadian Hockey fans realize how close now America is to toppling our Hockey supremacy....for now we hold on...but just barely....

You guys can be justly proud of your growth of Hockey....

That team represented USA about as well as any of us could have hoped. They certainly should hold their heads high. I really feel bad for Miller who was absolutely stellar this tourney. You could tell he took it really hard.

Well done all they around. Here's to hoping they get another shot in 2014.

What a great team! The character and competitive level of the core guys in this team is epic! Seriously. Speed, skill, heart, grit. Wonderful team.

A very bright future for USA hockey.

We are very proud of Kessler in Vancovuer, but there were so many others to hold up as hockey heroes.

Great great tourney USA

It's funny how this Tournament changed my perspective on our team.

Before the Olympics started, I thought we'd be a decent team. I saw us as a tough team to play against, that could probably give any team a good game, but I didn't really believe we'd get anything higher than a bronze.

Now that it's over, I can't believe we didn't get gold. I literally shed a tear when Crosby scored that goal.

I'm damn proud of Team USA though. Talk about heart. Most heart and guts from any team in this tournament.

Ditto for me. Seeing them so sad after playing their hearts out these 2 weeks was tough to take today. Even harder than seeing # 87 get the GWG (I am a Flyers fan). I hope eventually when the sting wears off they will appreciate how great they did in this tournament and that they didn't lose gold, but earned a silver instead.

I am definitely very proud of them all for representing the USA with such heart and determination. I would love for them to get the chance again in 2014.

This. I use to think Orpik, Ryan etc were dirty SOB's but this tournament totally changed my mind on alot of guys. I had no idea Erik Johnson was this good, or Pavelski..

Anybody else see Drury during the medal handouts? He looked like he was about to cry, 2nd silver medal both losses to Canada. Ranger fans need to lighten up on the guy. He lays his ass on the line every shift. So what if he's not a prolific goal scorer. I'll take that defensive effort EVERYDAY.
