Oh, and I have virtually no respect for Chris Pronger after this tournament.

Suter, Backes, Kesler.
I have a lot more respect for Miller now, I definitely underestimated him coming into the tournament.

Sidney Crosby!
Seriously, what a weiner. But he's our hero now
Also, Ryan Kesler is beyond beastly. I now know the fear that strikes fans cheering against the Canucks.

Ha, just had this conversation with a friend and I said I have such a huge man crush on Toews after this Olympics.
Weber was awesome, I already knew Doughty was going to be good and Niedermeyer showed why he's one of the best of all time.
Toews just played the game the way I love to see it played and I had no idea he could be that good.

Toews really did dominate. Weber and Doughty both also stood out to me over the course of the tourney. The influx of young, talented defensemen in the league right now is shockingly awesome.

Drew Doughty. I will never dought him again.
I was extremely harsh on Morrow, but he made me eat crow. He was a complete essential in the most important games.
Toews was stellar. Such a fantastic well-rounded player.
And Rick Nash. He didn't score much but I liked how dedicated he was to playing a solid physical and defensive game.

My pick would be Andrei Markov. He was so good in the gold medal game, you know what they say, defencemen are at their best when you don't notice them.

Funny, but I had a convo with my friend about this exact thing. Generally speaking, it's great to see a guy fall into a completely different role than he's used to on a regular basis. Nash did that, and thrived in the role. I'm glad lots noticed his play.
