Doughty for sure. I heard a lot about how he was going to be great...he's already great. Rarely see him play cause he's with the Kings but I was blown away by him.

The 2 Norwegian players named Viking something and Zucc.

I'll stick to giving my take on some North Americans.

David Backes: A young beast power-forward. He was very good, especially in the early games.

Ryan Kesler: Wow. I don't get to see him much in the East. He looks like a Western Conference version of Mike Richards (or Rich Peverley ).

Tim Gleason: How the hell did Burke initially leave this guy off the team? He was as good as any U.S. D-Man, imo.

Patrick Kane: Damn, he's small, but he's a really skilled player. Probably the most skilled U.S. player, imo.

Ryan Miller: My Pens have owned him lately, so I didn't really get the big deal about him. Obviously, I just hadn't seen him at his best. He really is elite when he's on his game. I'm glad I got the chance to see him at his best. Totally changed my opinion of him.

Drew Doughty: I always saw him more as an offensive D-Man. I was surprised at how complete he is. He looks like the total package on D.

Jonathan Toews: Much more complete forward than I thought.

Corey Perry: I don't know why I love this guy, but I do. I really can't explain it.

Congrats to the Pens players Orpik, Crosby & Fleury for winning medals. Better luck next time Gonch & Geno.

Dustin Brown - some serious skills

and just from today's game Rick Nash - seemed like he was creating plays all day.

Sid The Kid - Got the love the guy, he came through when it mattered.

Corey Perry - Use to hate him but he had a hot hand and was keeping it cool all week, normally hes a flip artist. Respect to him.

Pavol Demitra - He ripped it up, will he bring the hot streak over to the NHL?

Roberto Luongo - Being a Calgarian its natural to hate on Roberto, but its hard not to respect him after this.

Zach Parise N Patrick Kane - They looked so quick out there and had a lot of great chances courtesy there vision.

Drew Doughty - Is a brick on the puck, no one can get him off of it. Was real impressed, see him and Weber being the 1-2 on team Canada in 4 years.

Doughty. Now I know why there was this amount of hype about this kid. He is already one of the best Dmen in the league at such a young age. Amazing to watch him play. Very impressive under pressure situations. Can't say enough about him.

Also Toews. He does all those little things and pitches in on the score sheet too. Great player on both ends of the ice and he does it without the flash.

I might have to put Millertime on my helmet. I went from thinkig he's a good goalie to unhealthy man crush.

Drew was already there.

Kesler awesomeness, as were Toews, Rafalski, Suter, and Weber.

Congrats to Teemu and Saku, they just can't win the Cup this year.

Muskalskis(sp?) Latvias goalie played in the Southern Pro Hockey League before this kudos.

And Cannon.

I like Parise before the games, but now I'd do unspeakable things for him.

Doughty and Nash. Nash is one of my favourite players now, and Doughty's puck poise for a 20 year old is amazing.

Eric Johnson

Gained a whole new level of respect for Parise and he is one of my new favorite players.

I knew Miller was good but Hopefully he's more human against the Caps

I think this thread should be retitled ManCrushes on USA or Canada because the only other player really being mentioned is Hiller. Its a shame that David Krejci isn't getting more props. The guy was the best all around player in the tournament for the first 10 days. But i guess that's an after thought?

Erik Johnson - Kid's a beast, he has speed, size and smarts.

Ryan Kesler - He was easily my favorite player on Team USA going into this, the tournament just made my mancrush even stronger.

Drew Doughty - He's unreal, scary to think he's only going to get better.

Jonathan Toews - Knew he was skilled, but to stand out on Team Canada is something else.

Luca Sbisa - Played a quiet, but solid game for the Swiss, he's gonna look real good for the Ducks.

Left the goalies out of it, because there were a few impressive ones. Obviously Miller and Hiller stuck out.

I knew that Shea Weber was an excellent 2-way defenceman with a mean streak, but not having the oppertunity to watch many Nashville games, I had no idea how good he really was.

When people described his mean streak, I thought of a Kevin Bieksa type mean streak. Weber is beyond mean. He's a demonic tank with a vicious streak. I was so impressed with what I saw from him. The way he made Ovechkin a complete non-factor was amazing.

I have a whole new appreciation for Shea Weber.

I was pimping Toews and Doughty pretty hard prior to the games, but now, I think I might be unable to ever dislike any of them an iota. Such amazing hockey players.

I always thought Morrow was sort of a useless grinder, and I didn't see his use on Team Canada, but I appreciate him a lot more. I never get to see Mike Richards play really, but I see why is is so highly touted.

I never appreciated Nash for his defensive ability and I never appreciated Perry for being anything other than a *****. Needless to say, those have both changed.

I simply dislike Luongo a bit less now.

You guys should've heard the 'SID THE MAN' chants on Yonge Street. ****ing epic.

Other than that, Doughty is the ****in man. Weber rules. And I've always loved the Chicago boys Keith and Toews.
