Carolina also got a 2nd rounder in that deal for Corvo.

That deal sucks for the Caps, IMO.

if true... I saw that mckenzie wrote that, but tsn trade tracker doesn't have the 2nd rounder included... but if there is a 2nd rd pick then yes the trade does suck for the caps.

per espn trade tracker: it was a 2011 second round pick... not as bad.

also they reported that Modin was traded to Kings for a conditional draft pick.

I think the Caps did very well. They traded a decent prospect anda 2nd for Corvo who is underrated imo. I think its all about winning with taht team. They have a poor PK and the players they picked up should improve that without sacrificing offense.

watching this toronto press conference if you didnt already know it, brian burke is the man. Could you imagine sather going up to the podium and actually talking, let alone ripping apart his team after a tough loss.

Does anybody know the roll-up of draft picks Caroliona has acquired for the 2010 draft?

Also, I love what the Caps did. They added grit, speed, defense up front and a nice compliment to Green on the PP if they decide to take OV off the point.

Caps are the team to beat right now...in either conference

Still have goaltending issues. They are pretty much Blackhawks of Eastern Conference.

Pittsburgh is the team to beat IMO. Adding Leopold and Poni helps.

Agreed, and those are all potential first round match-ups if we squeak into the playoffs.

Well, I guess we'll find out how good they are in the next few days. I have to imagine getting 0 out of 6 points in the next 3 games would not bode well for our playoff chances.
