Canadian may be a very average brew but at least it tastes like beer. Sam Adams tastes like and has the texture of sparkling water.

A case of beer? Damn, good to know the bet matched the stakes. They could have gotten more creative and just swapped wives or something.

Sam Adams is awful outside of The Northeast US. They outsource brewing and the results aren't good.

Is Harpers wife less attactive than Michelle Obama? I have a feeling that Harpers "prize" wouldn't be much of one if they wife swapped.

In that case he should have made a bet with Sarkozy!

People are too hard on Canadian. Its much much better than the vast majority of mass produced beers, especially American and European ones.

Of course it cant compare to craft brews, but thats hardly surprising. Some value quality more than profit.

Sam Adams isn't one of the US's best beers by a long shot. It's just widely available and they advertise a lot.

Yuengling maybe. But find a collection of small brews. Don't screw up like the case of DVDs that don't work in England deal.

Also there are lots of good American Breweries, most people just don't know where to look I guess.

Sierra Nevada, New Belgium and Dogfish Head are three really great American brewing companies.

Distribution is a big part of it. In Cali we can only get a few different Dogfish heads. In AZ a state with a way lower population gets almost all of them.

Not a chance. I can name 20 European mass produced beers that taste better then Canadian.

Even Kieths and Ricards taste better then Canadian.

For Massed Produced:

European (Stella, Heiniken, Lech... etc)

Premium Domestic (Ricards, Kieths(?)... etc)

American Premium (Budwiser, Budlight lime)

Domestic + American (Coors, Kokanee, Labatt Blue, Canadian)

And guess what, the prices matches how you ranked them.

Canadian is a cheaper beer, as it tastes like. Of course they seem to think they can charge almost $2/each like a solid beer. There is a reason I never buy it at the liquor store.

Of course I have mine own kind of beer, which is really small and excellent. I can't share it though, for fear of popularity
