Cote Waived

TSNBobMcKenzie

Tampa puts Brandon Bochenski on re-entry waivers. Philadelphia puts Riley Cote on waivers.

Feel free to merge this thread I guess.

So they were listening when we wondered why Syvret was waived while Cote still somehow managed to stick around

I would love to grab Hamhuis and maybe Ellis too if Emery isn't going to be healthy.

What would Hamhuis cost?

Bourdon? Bartulis+?

Pronger-Carle
Timonen-Kraijcek
Hamhuis-Coburn
Parent-Bartulis
Syvret(I guess he cleared?)

I might be open to a Parent for Hamhuis swap...given that I'm not sure how much I trust Parent to ever be a healthy NHL player at this point.

What would
I think Emery is done.

The labrum is a very tricky, and for a goalie...even worse.

I doubt it. This (see below) has more value than cote.

Hey, I agree he needed to be waived...but he's a really good guy and I hope he finds success in the future. I'd love for him to stay with the Flyers as some sort of ambassador or something.

I got the tweet from Bob McKenzie while in the grocery and said "finally" out loud before I could stop myself. What took them so long?

Fighters tend to get claimed on waivers more than guys like Syvret

He has a guaranteed contract. He's already found success.

Because of the way our cap structure operates, it hasn't really mattered to this point...given the beating Cote has taken over the years for this organization, I have no problem with them giving him a paycheck and letting him hang around through the season.

From the article:

Quote:
By deductive reasoning – with roster and cap space issues – Joey Mormina could be returned to Adirondack at any time. It is unclear, as of this posting, whether Mormina accompanied the team to Tampa.
Hey, Frank, that's not deductive reasoning...

Not really a fan of this if it means less Holly Cote, not like we'll do anything profitable w/ the space.

I guarantee he will get a job in public relations or whatever department deals with all the charity stuff. I like Cote too... but only when he is not on the ice.
