I like Niitty and I am not saying he sucked or sucks or anything. We all knew he had talent, he just could not ever string together good games for us.

Neither esche nor nitty were terrible. They just could never elevate themselves beyond mediocre.

Biron seemed to be able to get himself at least slightly beyond mediocre.

And now Emery... n/a

once again.. I am doing it because he ****ed up our season. Instead of getting a surgery he decided to play through and ****ed up even more. This bum played 29 games for us and everyone loves him. Why? No one knows.. What a turn around of the events since the beginning of the season. Flyers players really grow on you.. I do not have any kind of sympathy toward him.

Tomorrow if Homer will make some crazy move for yet again another back up goalie giving up what we already do not have, picks and prospect what will you say?

1) Yes, you're right, Emery planned to destroy our season by intentionally injuring himself. I'm sure bad luck has nothing to do with it. Injuries are totally predictable and easily fixable.

2) If he's truly as bad as you think he is then how does losing him "ruin our season"? I guess you can look into the future?

Starting to understand why you don't get any respect. He was the backup for 3+ years and throughout most of that time there were at least some people (1/3 to 1/2 of the fanbase) screaming that he should get the starting job.

He never quite got it and now he and Downie are both enjoying massive success. Can you not connect the dots?

It's also really endearing how you call players 'bums' left and right when they could potentially go on hot streaks and win stanley cups and whatnot.

The insider on ESPN is reporting that Hamhuis to the flyers is in the works so this is apparently a very real deal getting ready to roll. Lets see how "reliable" that information is.

Is it Lebrun?

If it's him, it has some credibility.

I hope Homer doesn't pull an Adam Oates trade for a goalie

I dunno man, trading Adam Oates at this point would be nothing short of a miracle. That guy is so washed up it's not even funny.

Tim Thomas to Philly for Gagne. Solves the goaltending problem for a few years.

Thomas = overrated. He is incredibly athletic but isn't incredibly skilled. I'd take Vokoun or Turco over Thomas if we are getting a big contract like that.

Dude was what, 16-11-2? That's hardly ****ing up our season. Or are you referring to the fact that he got injured? What the hell did this guy ever do to you, other than not be Patrick Roy?
Yeah.

BTW, the Flyers are in the play offs right now, so the seasons not ruined just yet.

Until A) Leighton totally melts down and we fail to make the playoffs or get mopped up in the first round because he can't stop a beach ball or B) Holmgren vastly overpays for a rental goalie that has no real talent, just what has Emery ruined?

We lucked out with a 0 risk, high reward situation in Leighton and the only thing Emery has ruined is his own season.

If you haven't noticed, this team is in fine shape right now. At worst, Emery has been a non-factor.

Until anything actually gets ruined, Emery has just been a sideshow, but he's far from damning the Flyers.

speaking of jerks, I will never forget the attitude Mike York displayed at the Carnival. He was at the same table as Knuble and there was Knuble with his busted up face smiling ear to ear, while York looked like someone pissed in his coke.

Theodore sucks. I want no part of him in Philly. ever.

I agree, and I would think and hope that this is a critical time for Holmgren. Some of his moves should be questioned. How would it be to have Craig Anderson right now instead of a busted up Emery and Leighton who very few people trust.

Glad someone caught that...

MAF was not a critical to the point statement makes no sense but whatever..
No comparisons were made to MAF, he was simply referenced (a la tongue in cheek). You made a broad statement that is clearly incorrect "A goalie with 9.05% is not passable in this NHL".

MAF not being critical to the statement makes complete sense, especially considering it was the whole point of the post. If you throw out a nameless statistic, it's easy to match up with players. Thus, broad statement. Though i'm sure there are plenty of other shortcomings you will discuss with regards to him.

I don't know . . . 9.05% is getting pretty far down there, tough to win with that.

It's not what he did to me, it's what he did not do for our team..

and yes, he did **** up our season because as of now we do not have goaltender.

Next time Emery should evaluate him self a little better and stop playing, instead of playing through.

Stop throwing big names like Patric Roy out there.. Makes no sense, really. Someone tried to compare Emery to MAF.. Still laughing.

I've seen what Emery can do on the ice. Not impressed. Next goalie please.

I actually would not mind trading for a real #1 goaltender and move JVR or Giroux for him if we have to. Tired of seeing the same ****ing **** different year.

that's awful
