DENMARK

Mikkel Boedker - Lars Eller - Jannik Hansen
Nichlas Hardt - Frans Nielsen - Nicklas Jensen
Morten Madsen - Peter Regin - Mads Christensen
Oliver Björkstrand - Julian Jakobsen - Thomas Spelling

Philip Larsen - Oliver Lauridsen
Jesper Jensen - Stefan Lassen
Mads Boedker - Daniel Nielsen

Frederik Andersen
Patrick Galbraith

All in all a pretty competitive Danish team, IF they qualify.

Changes can and will prolly occur, these linups are based on performance over the last 2 years. We will prolly see more of the U18/U20 guys compete for the lower spots.

I really hope so, they deserve a place there, but without players from NA that won't be an easy thing.

They really do... Our closest competitors like Norway, Germany and Latvia have many of their most important players in European Leagues like KHL, DEL and SEL and will therefore play for their country. We in Denmark have many in NA, which is bad for the qualification.

All we can do, is do a good job at WC and improve our ranking and get an easier oponent like France.

Am I the only one thinking Thomas might not play in 2014? I think Miller and Quick seem to be sure things as Team USA's top two goalies but perhaps Schneider or Howard is the 3rd goalie instead. Thomas will be creeping up on 40 around the time of the Olympics.

I don't think Oliver B is ready in less than 2 years. Spelling will probably make it though. I'd imagine he will take Madsens spot on the 3. line. Other possibilities are P.Bjorkstrand, Felix Scheel, Morten Poulsen, Nikolaj Meyer, Markus Lauridsen and Kirill Starkov.

I love our depth at C. Our D is still the weak spot even though it's infinitely better than earlier. Our goaltending should be solid with Andersen.

No, This is just what id like to see. There are many more possible lineups. I would say the top two lines are a LOCK same goes for the Defence.

Im kinda biased towards Oliver B, as I love what he brings at such a young age. He did good against men. And im not even a Herning fan.

Spelling would be awesome, but taking Madsens place? Madsen is a great player, playing at a much higher level. He is big and Strong, and experienced. Ofcourse if he is drafted and pursues a career in NA, then the story might be different. But for the moment I would slot Spelling on the 4th line with limited minutes.

Patrick B I also thought about, But I dont see him taking a Center spot from anyone. jakobsen is great IMO. And NONE of the NHL players will be giving up a spot. But, let's see how he does in Mora first

The rest except Starkov, are too unknown for me to comment on them. Starkov is a very hard player for me to rate. Sometimes he is brilliant, other times he completely dissapears. He was great in AL-bank ligaen, and in his junior years in NA. But in Sweden and the AHL he was really REALLY inconsistent. So I guess Ill wait and see how he does in Oskarshamn

No, I think you are spot on! Thomas is Awesome, but he will be 40? When Sochi comes around, right?

Anyway, I love what quick brings to a team. So I think you look solid at G.

It's pretty obvious that you'd want to have Eric Brewer there instead of Schenn, and bring back Adam Foote out of retirement as the 7th D and to add a (much-needed) veteran presence. Up-front, Ryan Smyth would fit in well as our 13th forward.

If it's 2006, you won't be able to get Niedermayer. He'll be recovering from having his knee scoped, so he can be ready for the playoffs.

for some reason, it never dawned on me putting jt and crosby on the same line...but it makes so much sense. 2 forwards with arguably the best hockey sense(who are both excellent along the boards to boot) in the nhl and throw in the best shooter/sniper in the nhl who also adds elite speed? yikes! not sure how difficult it will be for jt and stamkos to transition to wing though.
