Ok are you serious? I have been 5 for 5 this year on postings and signings. I broke 2 major trades on here to prove some people wrong and now I am getting killed by a few of you for posting info I got from a well respected source? This is why people leave this board because 10% of you are uncontrolable. To the other 90% thank you for being great fans and friends.

Just because the trade wasn't executed, doesn't mean the rumor didn't have legs.

"A source told me that this was the deal, but he was wrong, so I'll apologize for relaying the information to you?"

Seems a little unreasonable to want to shoot the messenger. Especially after people are clamoring for information.

If you have no faith in a source, don't listen to it.

Not to start an argument, but maybe you shouldn't put "The Credible Source," if you don't like people questioning your credibility? Seems like common sense...

Anyway, I'd rather keep "Danny Boy 5."

Let's save our indictments until 3PM Wednesday.

And leave Dagoon alone. He's called more trades right this year than most have in a lifetime.

Read that article. That's what a person who wants to be respected does. Admit when you ****ed up and move on. People who want to be respected don't go around parading stats of their success rate and then complain when people are upset when they lied. If you're going to gloat about all the times you are right then you better acknowledge when you're wrong.

I didn't say I don't have any faith in the source. Of course Dagoon has information. He didn't just pull the Kovalchuk trade out of his ass.

But there is a big difference between "Girardi might be traded" and "Girardi isn't going to Ottawa and has been told he was traded."

If Mouth made up what Dagoon said then fine, but then if that was the case then why did Dagoon never call him out on that? When someone called BS on The Mouth he defended him.

I'm going to say this one last time. This thread is to discuss rumors. Not sources. If you don't feel a source is legit, by all means ignore it.

Move on people.

Let's get back to Glen Sather's mediocrity... since the fire sale in 2004 - we have been filling holes in the top two lines with veterans, waiting for kids to come along and fill those holes.

Well, here we are 6 years down the road and we have exactly ONE kid playing in the top 6 - Dubinsky - and it's still up for debate whether he belongs there. Anisimov and Callahan are currently pegged as third liners - the jury still out on Ani. We have no kids coming up to fill a top 6 position next season. That will make 8 or 9 seasons since the fire sale before we have possibly one kid crack the top 6 - possibly Stepan, Grachev, Kreider?

Another 2nd rounder for Sutton.

Come on, Prospal can fetch more with his salary.

Clarification: Lisin, although waived, eligible to dress tonight and will; Voros won't

I have to wonder if GM's, and scouts are under the impression that this is a relatively light draft? I mean these 2nds are selling like Hot cakes!

I am a Vinny fan, but I think his worth to this club for this season is more if he's moved. Not even just for a Pick, maybe for a solid prospect.

Even if it is a 2nd, you can use that to move up in the draft or in a trade. Otherwise when the Rangers are officially out of it you are left with all of these used parts with players like Prospal who will be UFA and essentially lost for nothing. A spec, a pick, whatever - something.

I'd take him only if we can jettison Rozsival to land him.

It's very possible that is why Voros and Lisin were waived, and also why Girardi is being floated.

Oh boy, stay away from Ryan Whitney. He is so bad defensively. His value should be at an all-time low after his performance in the Olympics.

I'd rather have Rozsival for another 2 years than Ryan Whitney for 3 years with a $4 million cap hit.
