Dreger agrees Vokoun is in play and that Philly is a possible destination.

Too much, Habs can't afford to give up a first.
Asking price and what they actually get are two different things. I'm guessing they'll settle for a 2nd....he's a UFA and CBJ's going nowhere this year.

That's ridiculous.

I'd offer halak + Plekanec and a 1st for Carter and I'm not even joking.

Carter would change the face our team for years.

DarrenDreger To encourage a trade, Sheldon Souray has softened...won't go to a CDN team, but will waive for 19 other teams.

Don't know if you even need to add Plek to the deal unless it's for cap reasons. Philly is desperate for a #1 goalie. I might even ship them Price for Carter..

I agree 100%. Carter would be an incredible acquisition for the Habs. A big centre with his high end offensive skill....he's such a natural scorer.

Torres pure rental. People think he wants to play in Toronto next year. (From the area.) Fits Burke's philosophy.

I also hate the fact that he LOVES sending Habs fans into a frenzy

Tampa Bay players have been told their flight has been pushed back to 3:30 ET and not to be surprised if there are moves made.

Vinny!

I wouldn't want him for even a 2nd. Saw lots of him when he was an Oiler...inconsistent and took lots of lazy and bad penalties.

I will say this though, when he was on, he was good.

From what I've read, he's a much improved player from his Oiler days. Blue Jacket fans talk very highly of Torres.

I think not trading Halak now or at the draft would be a huge mistake. He's hot, he's at the top of a lot of GM's radars and has peaked in value imo. We'll never get more for him then we will now and I doubt he's seen as our future #1 and he's not going to bring a cup here. Hopefully if Fla can ship out Vokoun we can ship Halak for Horton or another piece that will make us better.
