Kings implode Stars - 3/2/10 - RECORD BREAKING POSTGAME THOUGHTS & TIDBITS

How about that Doughty, Frolov, and Quick

I love it. Quick the winningest goaltender, in a regular season, in Kings history! Onto the next victim!

Kings v Stars: No Rust Here! A Quick club record

Done and done.

Scary for a moment, but hey, no complaints out of me, but judging the end of the GDT I know some of you have a few!

Have at it.

Woooohoooo!

Solid effort. Take the two points, on to Nashville.

Only downside to this game is the realization that we might need another defenseman. I don't think DL will add that component tomorrow, but I hope he does.

This was solid, nothing else to complain about. If we take our foot off the gas, it's alright with me as long as none of our players get injured. That needs to be fixed but I can live with it.

Drew was great, as was Frolov. Oh yeah and Night Train destroyed his ***** of an opponent.

Wow. The guys were passing great out there,

DD and JMFJ (Yes, I dropped a MF on us) are great together. They seemingly can do no wrong. Future top 5 NHL pairing.

Frolov and Simmonds were amazing in their roles.

SoD didn't play terrible but It's sad watching him slowly deteriorate before our eyes. His motor functions just are not there anymore. His wheels are gone. Now he's all heart and experience.

20th road win for the Kings. 4th place.

Quick, Doughty, Frolov and Johnson played strong games. Kings 2 for 2 on the PP.

Pretty solid overall effort. Most of the players showed up tonight - save a few - but they all got the job done. I don't think we could have expected much more all things considered.

- Drew/Jack. Don't ever break this pairing up. This is our Keith/Seabrook, Suter/Weber with the potential to be the best.

- Frolov had his best game as a King in a long time. Please re-sign.

- Quick was very strong after a long layoff. Other than the adventures with playing the puck, I thought he was very good. Congrats on setting the wins record.

How many times did Simmonds break free on the right wing with the puck at the dots? Like 4 at least.

Solid effort. Frolov was the star of the game. Great to be back to Kings hockey!

Doughty for the Norris. Too bad all of the media only watches East coast hockey.

Yes Quick has the most Games won in a season by a Kings Goalie, but he has a long way to go to become the winningest Goalie in Kings history.

Next record is most wins in a season by any goalie. We're pulling for your Jonathon.

Nice game although the boys fell asleep for the better part of the third. Two more points, and fourth place feels GOOD!

It's probably Keith's award unless his play deteriorates badly. But Doughty is just off-the-charts lately and I would at least like to see him as one of the 3 finalists for the Norris.

This was a great early birthday present. Now if Carolina caves in and we get Whitney for a 2nd and Lewis/Martinez with a 1 year extension, it will be a truly great birthday tomorrow.

One of the few complaints I had was when a couple of browsers cut off for a second before that first goal... I also want to trade that cat in for a Harley...

This mean we have 80 points? What do we need to clinch the playoffs? 8 wins?

For the first two periods, the Kings looked like they were playing the Latvian woman’s hockey team with their goaltender Okrap Deyskoragen.

Doughty, Frolov, Smyth and Stoll had their way with the defenders. Simmonds ran a night train on their tough chic, Woywitka, early in the second. I didn’t make that name up.

Good game, great to get a win after the break. I even thought Moller-Cliche played well together when they didn't have Ivanans on their other wing. JJ is playing with confidence and it's good to see. 20 left, keep up the strong effort.

Murray better keep Stoll off of the point. 2-2 on the PP.

Ivanans should sit the rest of the season. Not needed in these "playoff" type games.
