Doughty looks very confident. I'll be honest, I used to go back and forth on Stamkos/Bogosian vs. Doughty...no more. I'll take Drew anyday.

Did you guys see Simmonds in the box after the fight? He was yelling at a fan and stuck his tongue out and wiggled it at the fan...idk but it was funny. Somebody should put it on youtube.

So how many 20 goal scorers do people here think we'll end up with?

We already have 2 with Kopitar & Smyth. Brown & Handzus are on pace for 20. Frolov & Simmonds for 19. Stoll for 18. (Doughty a long shot on pace for 15..)

We've got a really well rounded lineup with plausibly 7 20-goal scorers. And if Williams had stayed healthy, it could have been 8.

I didn't expect anything less. He just came back from playing against the very best players in the world and dominated. His confidence must be through the roof.

I'd say 6(Kopitar, Smyth, Brown, Handzus, Simmonds and Stoll).

I just realized the Kings are 23-10-2 since i moved.

I think a little light went on for Drew during the Olympics. Getting thrown out there for heavy minutes during critical situations made him realize just how good he is. He elevated his game in the Olympics substantially. He was going to get to this level sooner or later anyway, but the Olympics really benefited him greatly by pushing him to the next plateau quicker than he would have gotten there otherwise. He's now unquestionably one of the best defensemen in the league. To a lesser extent, Johnson may have benefited in a similar fashion. His play during the Olympics was significantly better than his play for the Kings.

Looks like these Olympics may have been a real blessing for the Kings.

Yeah, Doughty showed last night just how he can take over a game. From the point shot where he made a little fake then moved right, THEN took the shot, which threw everybody off, made it so a shot that had a high chance of being blocked ended up getting through. While Frolov showed a lot of patience on the goal, Drew got it there.

Then later, that end-to-end rush, where you could see Doughty's head on a swivel as he headed behind the Stars' net.....he absolutely knew exactly where Richardson was going to be and got it right to him for the one timer goal.

And that's not even touching on his defensive plays - or his OTHER assist.....

Just spectacular.

He really needs to produce more with all the minutes he's been given.
