I've never heard of him, but considering who we dumped it can only be good.

That guy is a 2nd round pick, so I guess he has some potential. Too bad he's even smaller than D'ago.

Not a bad trade. I would have been totally fine with losing D'Agostini on waivers but this is better.

Palushaj boasts a good all-around game. He can snipe goals with his quick shooting, and his stickhandling and playmaking abilities are also strong. He doesn't mind physical play, willing to dig in the corners to win the puck.
Ranked as St. Louis' 4th prospect by HFBoards.

Wow I didn't think we'd get anything for D'Ags.

Very, very slick playmaker is Palushaj. I was always impressed with this kid at Blues prospect camps. Really good numbers for Michigan. He's undersized and has battled some injuries his 1st year as a pro but he has solid potential. Excellent puck skills but needs to get much stronger.

Good trade for MTL coming from a Blues fan.

People are saying this is a win trade for Montreal... we need more opinions from the good people of St-Louis

Yea that is his weakness right now...being too small. Good overall skill set, good speed, hands, vision. Not really playing with too much talent down in Peoria.

What's the rundown on D'agostini? Pro/Cons?

ASSETS: Owns tremendous hockey sense and scoring instincts. Can score goals and also set up linemates.
FLAWS: Lacks ideal size for the wing position at the NHL level. At times, he plays too much of a passive game.
CAREER POTENTIAL: Scoring winger.

Does this mean he's gonna play for the Bulldogs now or is he still gonna be a Rivermen?

Nice from what I remember him from WJC and Michigan he isn't a complete ***** like D'agostini.

edit- damn I thought he was 6'2 for some reason. Oh well it's definitely not a downgrade in toughness.

WOW! I've always loved Palushaj's potential. Even if Palushaj doesn't pan out, Dagostini was useless and was going nowhere. This is could be a pure steal IMHO.

I like D'Agostini, but this is an absolute steal for you guys. Dags was doing nothing with the Habs and Palushaj is a great prospect.

I would agree with that ... not that losing him for nothing would have been ''great'' , but seriously ... he was as good as gone for quite a while now ...

at this point, if the return is a younger prospect, its a fine trade imho...
