Ok guys.....I'm surely and overly way too excited 'cause Palushaj didn't prove anything even at the AHL level.....but I'm just ecstatic....He was one of my favorite college player. Now time to reunite Kolarik and Porter!

Actually I have a lot of faith in Palushaj. Though I have that tendancy to overrate college player (I was so much in love with Danny Irmen back in the days), I still believe Palushaj can improve and could become a nice player for us.

But Michigan being my favorite NCAA team, it is another reason why I LOVE this trade. Time for D'Ago to go. The guy could even surprise by doing better than what he did here 'cause he has the shot and the skating. If ever he's able to have a work ethic and some kind of heart, he might be a 20-goal scorer in this league.....but there's ways to go.

Palushaj a Hab.....you'd think we just acquired Toews by my reaction.....but I'm just thrilled about it.

Awesome trade by Gauthier!

Some wanted to put D'Agostini on waivers...

I knew that we were going to get something for D'Agostini but I didn't expect a solid prospect like that!

Well I don't know much about the guy, but I can't believe we were able to get a good good prospect with scoring winger potential for D'Agostini.

I would have been really satisfied with a 5th round pick, lol

Don't really care what we got.

I liked D'Ags, but there just wasn't any room for him.

I like this deal, sounds like he is a solid prospect. Where was he raned in the THN Future Watch 2010 for the Blues? I think he was #6 or 7 on their list last year.

What a TRADE ! Nice. I would be satisfied if that is the only thing we do today. The team is fine, Bulldogs are in contention for the Calder Cup and we have a lot of very good prospects coming up, highlighted by Subban, Leblanc and Pacioretty.

Go Gauthier!

I wouldn't mind picking up Voros on waivers and trading Metro and Mara for picks.

Am I wrong or we only have 12 healthy forwards now?

We need a forward until Cammalleri returns.

We can always use White, Stewart or another bulldog.

Any trades that send dead weights away and give Guy Boucher another interesting prospect to work his magic on is a good trade.

I absolutely LOVED Palushaj in the WJC 2 years ago. Here's hoping he develops into a player for us.

I thought about it and does MAB is soon to return ?

If so, we have our 13th forward/7th d. I think the Habs will trade Mara now and it's going to be it for this year.

I thought it was still a dream when I woke up... I still can't believe we got a very good prospect for D'Agostini.

Like some mentioned already, the best part of this deal is that the Habs get a skilled prospect with whom they can take their time and develop in the AHL. Considering that there wasn't a spot in the lineup for D'Agostini and that he couldn't be sent down to the minors, this is a very good move indeed.

What thrills me the most is that we got him for D'Agostini straight up, no picks or prospects involved.

Also has anyone taken a look at Palushaj's Pedigree? Its very impressive.

CCHA - Leading Scorer 2008-09
NCAA - West First All-American Team 2008-09 (Forward)
CCHA - First All-Star Team 2008-09 (Forward)

From what I've heard from STL fans, the scouting reports I've read, and from what I can see, I think this guy will be a great top 6 forward, with potential to be a first liner in 3-4 years if all goes according to plan.

Don't forget we have Guysus Christ Boucher down in Hamilton and thats why I'm so optimistic about this guy, I think Palushaj will be a fantastic fan favorite prospect for Montreal.

That basically means we could have gotten Caputi for Palushaj?

Really like this deal. Dags didn't seem to be going anywhere with us and Palushaj is a very solid prospect.
