My money is on Gilbert and Staios.
I would be so pumped if we sent Staios + for Fehr.

This has got to be a signal that Tambo will be moving a dman today, no? Why call up 2 dmen unless that is the case?

I am 99% sure we are going to trade away Gilbert.

How sad that we are left with 4 aging defensemen and have traded away 2 younger assets.

Schenider to Coyotes, not sure which one.

And isn't Tkachuk done for the year?

They haven't been called up yet, so who knows at this point.

Didn't he also mentioned Phaneuf? I don't think it was an unfair comment as that was just his POV. I still think we will be a better team than the Leafs in a few seasons.

The team is better off this year than last. They were more competitive last year but finished just out of the playoffs and this year we are way out of the playoffs and will get a top pick.

He said its not about lack of effort or self motivation, the club needs new blood, roster changes. Sees value in Pisani, defended Horcoff, said he misses Hemsky.

Last time I checked, Scott Walker isn't a D. It's one thing to want to add a veteran to your roster at the deadline (which they did), but if you want a defenceman...you want a defenceman.

Not saying it will happen, but I don't believe the Caps acquiring both are mutually exclusive.

Gilbert and Grebeshkov are soft, scared, turnover machines. I would jump for joy if we got rid of Gilbert. I wouldnt care if we got anything back either.

Really? Walker can play defense granted, but I'm pretty sure the rumours that Staios is on their radar do to a lack of grit on their backend.
