Did anyone else read Staples tweet about Strudwick or Staios to Vancouver? Nobody else has tweeted it, so I doubt it'll actually happen. It got me excited though, because it was tweeted shortly after I read that Motin and Arsene have been recalled.
Also, Souray has "softened" up. He will now accept a trade to 19 teams, not just the 10 he had submitted earlier. He will not accept a trade to a Canadian team.

Tencer tweeted that he thinks the oilers will make two moves--but that is him just thinking out loud

Interesting how things like that change when there is less than an hour to go. If I was Tambo I hold on to him until the summer and his NTC expires. We'll get more for him then anyway.

I don't know if there is a time you get more for a player than another time.
Souray isn't playing right now, won't play before the end of the season so I'd be very hesitant to trade for him if I was a rival GM knowing I'm paying him 9 million for two more years when he may or may not return to his '09 form.

More like there was never at one point a trade to ever happen.

You have to think Motin is being sent back down...poor guy. That team sucks more than the Oilers.

They could not even trade pending UFAs Comrie and Pisani--for 7th round pick or a bust prospect. Testament to how ****** this team is.
