Props to Darcy again. Two picks - Atlanta picks - that will be high in 3rd and 4th rounds. Nice.

Damn. I liked Mac a lot.

This one has a nice burn to it for me as I just bought a Mac jersey in October...

I see Stempniak and Mac as similar players.

Stempy got the Leafs a 4th and 7th.

Mac got the Sabres a 3rd and 4th.

One can say I'm very, very pleased with the return DR got here. Maybe Clarke finally blossoms into a consistent top 6 guy.............and he should get that chance with ATL.

I don't know. It seems weird to me that Darcy would be trading MacArthur for picks unless he was going to use said picks and cap space for something else. Doesn't seem like his style. What I'm saying here is I hope there's something else still to be reported.

If Torres decides to wear 41 when he gets here you can always change the nameplate.

Our roster has one less person than yesterday. Goose is now hurt. That means we have only one extra body. I smell another deal that just hasn't been OK'd. At the very least, a call-up is necessary.

Ellis plus Montador on a wing?

Not an option at the moment. He had his faced smashed in with a cheapshot crosscheck to the face and is out injured.

Both. Ennis being called up doesn't give us a PP QB.

I think so. They are desperate for offense.

Stafford is a bum.

And leaves them with Mair and Kennedy on the 4th line.

....then what the hell was the point of moving Mac?!

Bringing in Torres and moving Mac were fine as precursors to something else, like Stafford and Atlanta's 3rd for Visnovski or something. Ugh.

Does this mean Mair has a full time spot in the lineup now?

Looks like it. Yet again, another case of treading water.

According to Bulldog on WGR he was whiner with a lousy attitude.

Consider that the 'Canes took a draft pick for Cullen instead of MacArthur. Carolina didn't think that highly of him....

Bookkeeping note/question.

Wikipedia has Atlanta with Montreal's 3rd and Dallas' 4th in the upcoming draft, in addition to their own pick in each round.

Any report on which picks the Sabres are actually getting?
