Gleason Fournier anyone??

He's really having a incredible season with 12+35=47 points in 53 games and it looks like he's definately making great progress.

Love his skating!

Struggle to see any of the remaining guys play in the NHL. I went with Gleason Fournier.

Add Julien Cayer.

Nicastro.

Add... wow, I don't know... Jesper Samuelsson, I guess. Not very much else left.

The reason why I voted for Max is because I don't think he should be far behind Lashoff. Two spots at most. Max was very close to grabbing a spot on the USA WJC.

add Samuelsson, I guess..

Is it just me, or is it really close between the guys from 13 to around 20?

If I thought he had any chance of ever playing for the Wings, I'd pick Tricky Dick since he's clearly the most talented player left on the board.

Since I don't think he does, I went with Nicastro. Slim pickins here, but a sturdy, mobile, right-shooting defenseman would be a big help on this team right now and I don't see that changing any time soon.

The rest of these guys are probably not impact players even if they do manage to make the NHL. Maybe Coetzee, but I'm not convinced. Fournier looks like a classic Soft QMJHL Point Piling Efenseman. Callahan might be a useful player someday but it's WAY too early to tell and the early returns are ok but not overly exciting. Pyett looks kinda like Meech. Jensen is 7 years away.

The rest of the nominees are throwaways or AHL/ECHL depth IMO.

If we're going to include Owens in these polls then he should probably rank one or two spots below Raedeke. Similar upside, only Owens hasn't shown he could be anything more than a 4th liner if he were to ever make it.

Nicastro.

Add.... Ehrhardt?

I can't get behind some of the comments that invariably appear halfway through prospect polls.... 'can't see anyone left making the NHL,' 'the rest are throwaways,' 'nothing more than AHLers left.' Granted, the lower you get on a list, the less likely the guys are to make it, and those comments will of course apply to most of them, but there are almost always one or two that come through. Of who's left, I would not be shocked in the least to see one or two of Nicastro, Raedeke, Fournier, Callahan, or Coetzee in the NHL. And even guys with big limitations, like Pyett and Pare, are close enough to the NHL that it wouldn't be surprising. They may not be very exciting, but they have an outside chance. And when enough kids have an outside chance, someone will inevitably punch through.
