Who's Left From the 2007 Stanley Cup Championship Team?

After the bevy of trades over the past 3 days---admittedly some of them were pretty minor---I got to thinking how much this team has changed since the 2007 Stanley Cup Championship. If I'm not mistaken, of those players on the current roster, only Getzlaf, Perry, Selanne and Niedermayer were there to raise the Cup.

Did I miss anybody?

Anybody have any idea how many guys have played (at least one game) for the Ducks since the 2006-2007 season?

On a side note, I know a lot of you are critical of Murray as a GM. I think he deserves a lot of credit for his recent activity. He did a terrific job in acquiring Visnovsky [sp?]. Also, his age notwithstanding, I think Aaron will help shore up the D. The Ducks are a vastly superior team after the trades and should make a good run at the playoffs.

Marchant, Parros, and Carter were all on the team.

Pretty crazy when you think about it. Watching that Stanley Cup DVD is really weird.

If we traded all our players now for our championship team, would we still be a Stanley Cup favorite? I don't think we would be too much better than we are now, to be honest. I think the PPG line would be absolutely dirty, though.

Thanks, Caliamad. I'm not sure how I missed Marchant and Parros. Carter wouldn't have come to mind at all, though. Thanks for getting me straightened out.

Even with a total of 7 guys, that's still a ton of change in less than three full years.

we would certainly be a favorite. do you not remember that we had bryzgalov.

and also i would take kunitz and mcdonald over koivu and blake anyday of the week. along with the best checking line in recent memory of pahlsson niedermayer and moen

I assure you, we would.

Penner - Getzlaf - Perry
Kunitz - McDonald - Selanne
Moen - Pahlsson - Niedermayer
May/Carter - Marchant - Thornton/Parros

Niedermayer - Beauchemin
Pronger - O'Donnell
Jackman - Huskins/DiPenta

Bryzgalov
Giguere

Except for a bad 3rd pairing, that team would look pretty stacked if choose to have Carter in it instead of May.

You can't live in the past. Detroit has been successful the past two decades because they have been proactive in moving players in and out of their lineup.

If they were all at that point in their careers still, of course we would be serious contenders. But most of that defensive core has regressed quite a bit since 07, is all I'm saying. Plus, I remember the checking line not being so dominant after the cup run (with injuries being a big issue if I remember correctly). I didn't consider how good Bryz is now though, which is a good point. I miss Andy Mac.

or was Lupul on the team?

Mooseduck, thanks for compiling that list. I think I counted 68 players. Who could ever forget superstars like Mark Mowers?
