Is that something like robbing Paul to pay the Reaper?

I've had that happen once or twice.

Unfortunately (well, its unfortunate now, it was awesome 6 months ago) this last year the majority of my work was 1099 stuff. I usually have a few 1099 jobs but the majority is 1040. This is the first time nearly all of my work for the year was independent contractor. I'm so screwed.

Yes they are. But randomly, they taste a little better when they're stale.

It was like a ghost-town in there Brommander, with whispers of Taylor Hall. It's too bad they had to wait for these last four consecutive losses to realise they were going to tank and rebuild. Could have gotten a couple of picks for Selanne and Nieds... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH nice way to retire HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I haven't noticed the shape of the building yet but I'll look next time I pass by it. What really is funny was the top of Staples center after you mentioned that. It kinda reminds me of those Ace and Gary cartoons that SNL used to do. Maybe there is an engineer or architect somewhere in AEG with a good sense of humor?

A few years back my wife worked as a tutor while taking nursing classes. She made less than 2000 dollars, but since it was all paid as a 1099, they slapped a huge self employment tax on there. She found some...interesting ways to write lots of things off. Well, at least we're not misreporting income!

but yea that ate into our refund big time. I usually get like 5k-6k from the feds, and the state has been pretty good about paying it's refund on time, suprisingly.
